Greeting People!
I was approved today on my I130 case because
i requested to be expedited since i have a medical condition and
my parents are moving to the US and i will be alone here.

Now i have a question regarding how can i ask to the NVC to be expedited.
I was calling to the NVC but they just dont have operators available and the phone system
just kicks me out to the automated call center!

Any help and tips will be appreciated!

Call them first thing in the morning! You can try emailing but that takes longer than you probable have time for.

I was told that they cant do nothing until they receive the case
Lady told me that it could take 2 to 4 weeks to them to receive it!

Hi there,
Maybe this will make you feel better. My I130 was approved on January 31 2008, and it was received by NVC on February 4, 2008. So for my case it took 4-5 days to be transferred. It does not take them long to transfer the case from USCIS to NVC.
Once it gets there you can write an e-mail to NVC inquiry and in subject put your case number, nad /Expedite request.
Good luck to you!

Hi, congratulations again !
We want do some expedite too (we have some personl issue ), can you help to check how to expedite? Is there any form we need submit and where to submit? Is there any telephone number to call? Thanks a lot for your help.

You need to call USCIS to their number
talk with the customer service representative, then you ask for expedite
they will tell you that only a matter is medical or National Security matter!
Other reason wont be accepted!
They will ask you what is the problem and you have to explain.
If they see its a valid reason then they will create a service request
be ready with a pencil to write down the number, and wait for 2 to 3 days
to receive an email confiming that they received the request, and they will
ask you for a letter from you detailing your situation and any other documentation.
They will give you other details to where submit those documents.

If they approve the Expedite then you have a 99% chance to get approved
in a couple of days. That all depends on your situation.

Appears that NVC dont do expedite for any medical reason!
They emailed me the following:

Dear Sir,

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

The NVC has updated the address. Please continue to notify the NVC of
any change of mailing address, email address (if applicable), or change
in personal situation, which may affect the beneficiary's entitlement to
a visa.

The NVC has expedite procedures for applicants/petitioners with life or
death medical emergencies. If you wish to request a review for expedite,
please submit medical documentation declaring a life or death medical
emergency. The request will be reviewed promptly.

Regards,
National Visa Center

I have to be dying to have expedite approved!
Appears that they have another criteria for expedite

For My surprise NVC, received my documents
and never had a call from them , or email.
I called yesterday and they told me that they received
the expedite request and they asked the Managua Nicaragua Embassy
permission for the expedite request, that they where waiting on them.
I emailed the the managua embassy and they told me that they
approved the request and they sent a message to the NVC requesting my file.
Now the embassy is waiting fro our file.

I have questions regarding the NVC Fees, since i never paid for them because
i never reached at the point of the CHoice of Agent,
How is the process now, in terms of documents and fees that have to be paid!?

I think we can use our case here in VJ as an example of the procedures for feature
VJers, if there is an Admin that want to add a Wiki or a Guide on This! Just PM me
