Thanx for starting this thread mox. My SO will have her interview on thursday i am very excited but a lil nervous at the same time. We are almost there.

Hi everyone, I hope everyone is doing well. I am in Washington for another 2 weeks then I leave and put in the rest of our K1 paperwork when I get back to the UK. I have learned this past few months that good things come to those who wait....at least there is light at the end of the tunnel. I am going to use this extra time to tie up some loose ends. Angela x

I know - it is just really frustrating now - I just want to get it all out of the way - someone from the UK who sent their packet 3 off a day before me got their packet 4 yesterday and their interview date is 25th April... My mum wanted my interview next week so she could come with me to London but that is looking very unlikely... never say never though - I just hope after all this that I can arrange my med for the same day...

Just a little update: my fiancee's interview on May 12 on Mumbai consulate. Case went to Mumbai in Feb and we sent packet 3 on Feb 22nd. They take a long time to set up interview. I hope all goes all and good luck to everybody who has arrived USA. Wish you all happy married life!

I had many hoops to jump through for the US Embassy here in Costa Rica (seems they rarely deal with applicants from a third party country, and many barriers ensued...) , but it seems my tricks finally paid off

Well, we did it!!

Brent and I got married on Friday, and I am finalising the AOS forms now ...and it begins again - oy vey...!!

I officially changed the first thing to my new name - spent some fun time today at the Social Security Administration

well i called today.........and they didn't tell me again that its still in security anything after going to check on it she was gone a long time she came back and said it is on its way to be adjudicated......so thats at least something positive lol..........

My first post on this thread but we filed in late August 07 and my fiance has his interview tomorrow. I'm so excited! Sorry, but I just had to post and ask for good luck that he gets approved!! His police report only just arrived at the consulate- will there be a delay in them getting that put with the rest of his paperwork?

Happy to say that our visa was APPROVED on May 9, after a bit of drama. My fiance's packet four letter said his interview was scheduled for May 6, but when he arrived they said it was closed and they were not doing interviews that day!! They claimed they sent out an email that morning but he did not receive one. He also never received an explanation as to why they had closed for that day. I guess everyone must have called in sick or something...grrrrr..... Thankfully, he was able to reschedule rather quickly. He had a very short interview (5 min) and was approved on May 9th!! I'm so excited to see him again when he arrives next Monday morning!!

only one senator was willing to do anything i faxed everything a couple of weeks ago to his office no word yet and our congressman is useless he says after its been one year then we are out of the norm then he will send service request mad lol im past that wayyyyyyyyyyyyy past it..............

I know the waiting is hard- Don't know if this will help or not but there is a thread on VJ by a guy who used to work as an ajudicator for USCIS and is now a petitioner. The thread is called " 1st post former NSC adjudicator now petitioner" Maybe he will have some insight or advice for you. Best of luck and hope you hear something GOOD soon!

She's on her way! Her flight leaves in 30 minutes! I haven't been this excited since who knows when. I feel like a kid again and tonight is Christmas Eve and tomorrow Santa will bring me the best gift of all. I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight. I can't believe that after all this waiting, delays and stress she will finally be here. We have made it! It was well worth it.
