You can set up the account but there won't be any information that you can enter in it as you need to have an account number to check. It will kind of be like an empty form.

Alright, I guess the "spell" is broken because I received mail that for some reason I did not think I would receive ever. This last Saturday, I received a Notice of Action, extending my green card for another year ... something I should have received three months ago and that could have saved me a trip to my local USCIS office to get a stamp in my passport ... and I received my biometrics appointment.

I hope this will give some hope to the other ones that applied around the same time I did and are still waiting for a NOA and/or biometrics appointment.

I did a service request today and the confirmation number ended with CSC. So I wonder if that's more to do with where the call was answered as apposed to being related to the application itself -- I was transferred to Vermont like everyone else.

I did, the only thing is ,, the confirmation number supposed to end with VSC if you in VSC. They sent me a copy of the Extension letter and got me my biometrics account.

I requested copies of my NOA letters too and received nothing. It appears that there might be a few of the TSC transfers now going to CSC instead of staying in VSC.

For those who haven't received anything yet, including the biometrics, I would definitely make an infopass appointment and find out what is going on - you should have received something by now - and if not, perhaps the Immigration Officer at the appointment can launch an enquiry and shake something loose. It does appear that it is around early to mid February that they changed from going between California and Vermont to being strictly Vermont. Not sure if that has anything to do with it either, although if I recall, all of you are February filers too. I know you are all probably sharing the feeling with me that it sucks seeing applicants who filed to California after we filed already approved (nothing against the applicants - happy for them they are approved - just the unfairness of it all) and VSC is still working on cases from 10 to 12 months ago.

It's the "new permanent resident" option - assuming you want to also get a stamp while you're there.

If you go on early in the morning - thats when you will see most available appointments - they usually add new appointment slots to the system around 2am EST.

Actually, I checked 'Need information or Other Services". Try that one. As well, keep trying to make the appointment at different times of the day, generally early in the morning is good as they only plan a few weeks in advance and if everything is full, you need to be one of the first off the mark in the morning to get the next day's available slots. I believe they start at 8 am, so literally call around 3 minutes after 8. I called at 8 and they hadn't switched over the phones yet. As well, I think selecting 'other services' may open up some spaces for you. My rationale for that was that I didn't want 'service on a filed case' - I wanted a stamp in my passport based on a filed case, but not service on the case, if that makes any sense. It worked for me. Good luck.

I always arranged my appointments online - early morning before the phones opened.

When did you try?

I used to Live in Miami - you WILL HARDLY EVER get an appointment unless you get up VERY EARLY in the morning to make the appointment online.

If you try after 8am EST - you're out of luck, 6am... you might more commonly have a chance... 2.30am - well then you're pretty much guaranteed plenty of appointments to choose from.

I'd like to add mine, but mine still in VSC. I sent the package on May 1st to TSC, and being transfered to VSC. I Just checked the status online, it's still in VSC

Unfortunately for Miami, you really have to - just like you do with any of the very busy offices.

They usually add the new appointment blocks around 2am EST.... from that point on the available appointments reduce... slowly at first, but then by 7am they really start going fast...within a minute or so of the phone lines opening the appointments are usually all gone.

Hi, I filled at TSC. My application was received on March 25th, 08. I just checked my status case online and it still says:

Any stragglers left from February that have not gotten their ASC there is finally light at the end of the tunnel. Today we got hubby's ASC appointment for the 15th of this month.

I would say congratulations.... but there's not really a lot to congratulate about when you've been messed around and delayed so much.

166 days after receiving our application & no NOA-1, we finally got Dan's Bio appointment today (August 11) for this Friday August 15at 10:00AM. Someone please add Bio appointment on the list, I don't want to screw it up. Thanks.
