Great news - it seems like they might have the problem fixed. I wonder if they will address the backlog of non-NOAs now.

Peter called USCIS and was told the same thing I was told about Mian's file that we are at Vermont and that no Bio appointment date had not been set. They told me to go to INFOPASS if we needed the stamp but we did that on April 30th. Personally from the data from VJ and two other sites that I am active with it appears that the few files that were transferred were sent and no transfer notices were set to go out from TSC/VSC and that the files were moved and maybe not completely entered in the system to trigger them to issued BIOS. Only a select few of us got this treatment and I even researched to see if we were all K1 or CR cases and it appears we are all a mixed lot.

Also, VSC is sending multiple BIOS out now to a few select and from my research even some of the older transfer cases are getting NOAs once again. Just make sure you have your 551 stamp to show proof that you are in legal staus now is my best advice since we have a limited or no paper trail.

thanks for your advice! We know that we're not alone with our problem but that doesn't really make it easier.

We are thinking about involving our congressmen as well but I guess we wait for another while ... until August as you said. And then we will see. Anyway, thanks for your research and I'm looking forward hearing more about what you can find out.

so you guys know. I called again and spoke with an officer again and requested I be sent another noa and biometrics. The officer filled out a request and sent it to vsc. We will see if I get it.

Hopefully, Peter, you will find out that you were indeed transferred to VSC with the rest of us. There appears to be a gap of about a week around the end of February where people seem to be in limbo - I am hoping it is just because the officer on whose desk these files ended up was lazy and didn't bother to update the system and kick out those biometrics and online updates, rather that there is any other problem - although that is certainly annoying enough!

Peter, Cookie, Lau, Kalydon, Dan&Mitzi, and Jethro as I promised I would update you once I got some information for us. I contacted two congressman and my senator and two of the offices just said that we were in the processing time. The senator is actively trying to find out why are cases are in some type of limbo compared to the others that filed. I also contacted the Department of Homeland Security/Ombudsman office and here is a copy of the letter I received today. I told them I have not heard back from my service requests and that several of us were in the same boat. Here is hoping that all my footwork is getting us some attention.

As some of us were stuck in limbo, I have caled USCIS and made a request a while back. Today, I have received a "photocopy" of my Extension letter, and lo and behold, another letter from uscis!! its my biometrics!!!

So I go up at the end of the month!!

Guys,

for those who are stuck in limbo ( around my time of submission) go ahead and call the hotline, talk to an immigration officer and tell them to fill out a service request for Vermont to send you a copy of your extension letter and to get a biometrics request. This is how I got mine pushed.

Hi Peter,

I followed your lead (finally remembered to call when USCIS is open!). The call center agent I spoke with was really resistant to forwarding my call and kept telling me I didn't need the receipt. Finally, I think in exasperation, she transferred me to an agent. Agent Baker took down the basic information (name, address, date of submission, etc.) asked for my receipt number - and I asked which one, the cheque number or the biometrics number - and he asked instead for my A number (VBG), checked my file, said he needed to get permission for a referral, came back a minute later and said they would be mailing me a copy of the receipt within 30 days, and gave me a confirmation number. Interestingly, the confirmation number starts with ETC and ends with TSC so I wonder if that relates to how they are connecting the two service centers after the transfers. So, I hope to receive the NOA soon. Thanks for letting me know about this

Appears USCIS is giving me some love!! It appears that someone from USCIS followed up on me. They sent me a copy of the biometrics and highlighted the actual form. So a physical person touched it!! Basically it was a letter stating that They sent a biometrics form(Which i received) and if i didn't i need to reschdule. But I was just so wow'ed that they actually sent another form to make sure i received my biometrics!

go uscis!!!! hopefully approval will be done in a week after my biometrics ( I can dream right?!!??!

Hi:

Just an update for the list - I looked up the status of the I751 in the system, and it does mention that the case was transferred to Vermont Service Center on 05/22/2008.

Of course, they said they sent a notice of that, but I didn't get one - just the regular NOA and the biometrics. Biometrics is today!

So I'm not really sure what this means as I know we had been touched before that said it had been sent and received. I guess they maybe actually opened the packet and stuck it on a stack somewhere. Ha ha.

Got it today 6/16/08 about 10 mins ago by email.

No idea where it was transferred to, we never saw anything that said we were headed for Vermont, but hey, I'll take it.

Also, we got DH's renewed UK passport today. Took exactly 14 days for us to receive it from the date they received the paperwork.

It would be transferred to Vermont, as under the new filing instructions, Texas applicants would sent it to VSC.

I got the exact same thing.

The prior status was that it had been sent to VSC.... about 2 months ago - and it's apparently only just now been received and is pending - I guess it takes them 2 months to open their mail lol
