Well, apparently not! I just received the following e-mail this morning. My last 'touch' is today - last night it was March 12. It seems like the biometrics might be triggering the transfer:

Now, if TSC follows true to course, the notice of transfer that they said they sent me re: the above, won't arrive either - just like the NOA:-). I wonder if VSC will send out an NOA extending my greencard?

Ok, so apparently everyone is going to eventually get transferred (maybe). Anyhow, make sure you update this list and then I guess you should put yourself on that VSC list now too. There are still three people at the top of our list that haven't gotten biometrics appointments. I know Peter checks out this thread regularly so it's not that those few are not updating. Wonder what is up with them not getting anything yet?

Got biometrics done and passport stamped today. It was a very smooth process and the officer was very helpful. She didn't take away my green card.

And touched again today . . .

My Biometrics are done! I drove to the address and pulled up an hour early. The car park was empty, hmm a good sign methinks! (its only a 15 minute drive but I was hoping to get in and out early) I left my cell phone in the car and went into the office.

The security bloke looked at my appointment letter then without demur,scanned it then stamped it gave me a form with directions on how to fill it in, and told me to take it to desk 2 when it was complete.

A couple of minutes to do that and I fronted desk 2 with my form, appointment letter and the green card. From there I was directed to a station where a tech? was free to take my fingerprints. (I guess they changed since the last time, less than 2 years ago).

It took a while to get clear prints, after he finished them he told me where to stand to have my photo taken, I asked him to get a good one, since the card lasts so long!

He then he signed my form and gave it back to me, and said I was done, all in less than 15 minutes.

as of now, no update on USCIS case status but you can bet i will be checking regularly until I see it has been touched. btw obviously getting the I551 stamp in Miami didnt generate a touch either.

We’re starting our journey with TSC; I guess we see how this goes

So I made my infopass appointment today to get my passport stamped . . . (Big sigh!)

I go in for noon on May 7 - 2 weeks before my green card expires. If the transfer to VSC is going to generate any type of receipt I would expect it to have happened by then. If not, then I proceed with the appointment and the stamp.

BIO DONE!! and got my extension stamp today. I drove to Charlotte and it took me 3 hours to get there and my INFOPASS and Bio took an hour.. and the guy who did my bio said the new office in Raleigh is already open! I DROVE total of 6 HOURS! and dont tell me i can just go to the one 30 mins from my home I know there is one in Raleigh (or Durham... not sure) but didnt know it's already open that's why they sent me to Charlotte for Infopass and bio.. oh well... hopefully I can go to the office here for interview.


Anyway, got back to work and as expected, they sent me email said my case was sent to VSC... on March 19... (my bio letter sent from TSC on 4/3/08) but at least i'm moving somewhere!

by the way, my stamp said it expire one year from TODAY.. is this correct? I thought it starts one year from GC expire??

Question regarding our Infopass for stamp and biometrics same day - I just thought about this and wondered if we need to do the biometrics FIRST and then have our Infopass appointment after in case at the Infopass appointment they take Keith's GC and he has to have it for his biometrics appointment. We have Infopass scheduled for 9:00 a.m. and biometrics is scheduled for 12:00 noon, but do you think we need to change the order? I have read some Infopass offices TAKE the GC while some clip the corner and give it back. I sure don't want them to take it and then Keith have problems getting his biometrics done because he doesn't have his GC. Replies please from those of you that got your biometrics already either with your actual GC or with the I-751 stamp in your passport. Thanks!

I went for my bio the other day (not at same place tho) and was in and out really quickly. I came out with the appointment letter and they stamped it to prove I had been. I did show him my greencard which hasnt expired yet, but I had my passport with me.

Last week when I went to the other office for the stamp in my passport, they didnt question the fact that my card didnt expire until June. They didnt take it off me either, so maybe you can leave it the way it is. The bio guy should take the I551 stamp with the bio appt notice if the green card hasnt expired.

Im not sure either, do I have to take both when I go overseas, or does the I551 stamp replace the card. I will take both anyway, but when I leave Australia on the return trip, my card will have expired!

I just did the infopass and bio yesterday.. same as you, it was on the same day and the infopass was first.. They gave me back my GC though (but the stamp has the expiring date one year from the stamp date.. not the GC ecpire date) so I think you will be fine.

That's what all of us old TSC-VSC bulk transfers received after we were transferred en masse to VSC. And it's still all I seeon my online case status page Get used to this message, because it's all you will see on your online status, too, until you're approved (or get an RFE).

Anyway, you've been sent to VSC. I've mentioned it here or in another thread -- there is no doubt you ALL will end up going to VSC.

Well, I received my first transfer notice on April 21st stating my file was transferred to VSC on March 18, and now today I just received this different transfer email too - along with my file being touched today, which didn't happen when my file was first transferred. I wonder if this actually relates to the biometrics being transferred to VSC now since they were done last Saturday and that is what triggered this notice?

Thanks Anya. I hope they give Keith his GC back. I told him that sometimes offices take the GC and he said it was "his" because he paid for it (plus since it doesn't expire for another 12 days after the Infopass appt. maybe they will let him keep it).

It is interesting that on the USCIS site it said that they transfered on the 15th April from TSC to VSC and they sent out a notice......but we have not gotten it.Just the NOA for biometrics today.

Could someone who knows how to do the table please update us. We received our biometrics notice today. Our appointment is scheduled for May 7th in Charleston. We were also transferred to Vermont on April 15th.

I'm glad it's Charleston because they are really efficient and not even half as far for us as Atlanta, but really ticked off at the day. I have my Labor Economics final at 6 that night and the appointment is at 1. I guess I can show my professor the appointment letter and see if he will let me take the test early or late, but he's a real jerk so I doubt it. I guess the only other thing we can do is go up early and hope they take him early. They did that last time so maybe they will do it again.

Just got Biometrics today for OKC, only took 13 working days from application received at TSC. The really bad news, we were also transferred to the VSC and no NOA1 as yet, but we are in the USCIS system!

Just checked the VSC processing date and it's March 1, 2007 - WTF is going on with the USCIS!? Aaah well, here we go again

. . . And touched again already today! Wow.

This is just what happened to us old TSC-VSC Losers when we were transferred.

We all received email on Jan. 31 saying that we were being transferred to VSC. Then on Feb. 13, most of us received email saying our cases had been received by and were pending at the "USCIS office" to which they had been transferred. On Feb. 22, the rest of us got this same received and pending email. Then we were all touched a couple of times in the next 2-3 days. Then nothing until our approvals started dribbling out a little more than a month later. (Of course, unlike you folks, our old NOA1 dates ostensibly moved us to the top of the VSC pile.)

It is good to have your experience to use as a base guide. The recent transfers seem to be in smaller groups, although the message of the transfer doesn't always post until after the biometrics are done so it is hard to tell for sure. We'll see how many of the recent TSC filers start having this same experience now too.

im so tired checking out my mailbox everyday to see if i got NOA...By the way I really dont wanna make INFOPASS cause im afraid my conditional green card is gonna taken away(expired March 29 th)..Anyway i dont need stamp right now cause im not planing to travel out of country till i get my NOA at least

For us it wasn't that the message didn't post until after biometrics, we just didn't have the case number to check our status online until we got our biometrics letter. We didn't get the NOA1 yet either though. I hope we get it because Abdel is currently on unemployment and will lose that and his drivers license and won't be able to get a job either or keep doing the temp work he's been getting sometimes if his green card expires without it.

I don't really want to have to make an infopass appointment because we're 4 hours from Atlanta and I absolutely hate driving in Atlanta traffic. I'm also not thrilled about having to use a vacation day for that. I guess we'll see what happens. We have until June 8th.

Hey folks!

I had my Infopass appointment last Friday in order to get the stamp in my passport. After driving 3 1/2 hours to get there, waiting another 30 minutes in line, it took the immigration officer only 1 minute to give me the stamp and send me back home, which meant another 3 1/2 hours driving. My wife and I were so angry that we had to waste a full day for just one minute of work! And on top of it, they kept my green card which would expire today. The only thing the officer said is that they got a lot of people lately, requesting the stamp in their passport. But she didn't elaborate any further.

Anyway, I'm good for another year now and my employer is satisfied as well. Now it's time to wait for the next step.

So we are back from Infopass and Biometrics. Our Infopass appointment was at 9:00 though we arrived at 8:15 (not knowing how Tampa traffic would be). We went in at 8:15 and were back out in less than 5 minutes. They did not take his GC. Biometrics took Keith 1 hour, 40 minutes of which I spent in the car. So he is good to go for another year. When we got home we got the famous email telling us we had been transferred to Vermont. Updating our information below.

nobody can check their status online with that number they got over phone

i m gonna keep waiting for either NOA or Biometrics.. i believe one day im gonna receive one of them

An alternative is to make an infopass appointment at Miami and get the i551 stamp. The IO we saw said no-one was getting NOA's and was saying many people were going in to get the stamp. It was quick and painless.

He also gave us the number to track our case status, even though I already had spoken to the USCIS line as above and had successfully got my number.

By the way,when you made an infopass what did they ask you to show as a proof of filing I-751 on time ?

and did they take away your conditional green card ?

All he looked at was my infopass appointment sheet, on which he wrote my tracking number and my greencard. He saw my passport in my hand and checked the computer before preparing to stamp it.

The IO passed my passport and greencard back to me, telling me no NOA's were coming out and not to expect one.

I also took my flight itinerary in case I had to prove why i needed it, because my card doesnt expire until June. In fact I took the copy of the application file with me, as I was prepared to argue why I needed the stamp in my passport, but he didnt even see any of that.

The stamp is for 12 months from the date it was given, so if necessary I will go back next year, by then my N400 will be in the works. It seemed very efficient there, at Miami and we were out within 30 minutes.

When you call that number you need to tell them that it has been more than 30 days since you file, they will (if you get a nice one) transfer you to national service center and there they will give you the case number. Fist number they will try to give is the number on the back of your check that does not work, ask them to give you the number on you BIOMETRIC letter. That number is the number you can use to track your file. It took me 3 times to call and get a nice lady that helps me.

If you dont need the stamp and still want to know your case status, just give them a call.

For my infopass (for the stamp) i show them my bio appointment letter.. and that's it.

Myself, my file has not been 'touched' and the status shows it being sent to vermont, but not received.... so... absolutely nothing.

Keith had his biometrics on May 1st and when we got home we got the email stating he was transferred to Vermont. It did say "Application Type: CRI89, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED". I just looked at it after your post and we were touched again on May 2nd but nothing in the narrative is any different.
