Don't give up. If you have the time, it doesn't hurt to call again.
Yes, Anya, you are polite and tell them that this is an I-751 application, that you cannot wait 15 weeks as that is unacceptable. The NOA re-validates your green card and you will be out of status by that time, unable to work, unable to renew a Driver's License, and if stopped by the police, can be put in jail because you have no proof your status is valid. Lay it on thick! If they do not volunteer to transfer you, politely request to speak to an immigration officer. Repeat the same information - answer his/her questions first - then say that you need the NOA as this is an I-751 application and the NOA re-validates your green card for a year - without it you cannot prove your legal status in the US. You can give them the number from the back of your check but that number is for the I-751. The application changes to a CR 189 and you need the number attached to the CR-189 so you can register for on-line status checks. As well, with that number you can go to the local USCIS office and try to obtain the I-551 stamp in your passport. Be sure to have your A# available as they will ask for that. Definitely try again. Remind them that it has been over a month since you sent in your application - back in February and their own guidelines say to call them if you have not received the NOA. 15 weeks is unacceptable for this application. Good luck.

so she transfer me to national service center without me having to fuss or ask for.
Then I got my case number!! and yea, I'm staying in Texas
and she also said if I do not get my extension letter by the 14th I should call back.. that's good.. then I can buy my ticket to Canada!

Exactly the same for us as Jamieswith, although when I called National Service Center last week he said we were being transferred to Vermont, but that's not what it shows on the site.

YEA Anya!! Glad you finally got a good person. Supposedly they sent me a letter too on March 12th (that's what the site shows under our info.) but we never received it. I think they just say that as I have read a lot of people's comments say that the computer generated messages say they have sent out notices but they haven't gotten one, at least not until they have gotten their biometrics letter. We can hope though.

It is a receipt number, however it is not trackable by you online - it is something that USCIS could use to look you up in the system though, and get your trackable number from there.
Big Sigh - no news here either. Still says last touch on March 12, day after they 'received' the petition. Still says it is in Texas. Waiting when I can call back and start to nag - April 10.

I received my NOA/Biometrics letter today, which had the right SRC number on it!! Having then signed up for online tracking, I found out my file was transferred to the VSC on March 20th - the same day as Eveline! In fact we've even got the same biometrics date as well - so it's you and me together!
The VSC's dealing with Feb '07 cases now, so they're only 14 months behind ... Woo Hoo!

Sorry about that! Actually I would have sent mine off ages before, but I can't help myself ... Sheila: Thanks for fixing the table. It looks great. Seems like anyone transferring to VSC is at least getting their NOAs. Wonder if there is a rhyme or reason for some transferring and some staying in Texas - like maybe first letter of last name or region where they live, etc.? There has to be some sort of consistency - NOT!!!!!

I've just fixed the typo 'Tranfer' and hopfully that's everything sorted out once and for all! Mind you, I suppose those of us that have been transferred probably ought to remove ourselves from this list anyway!

well the system at TSC is obviously broken. They tell us that they are sending out the NOAs along with the status update that acknowledges they have received the application but somewhere between the receipt of the applications and assignation of the CR-189 numbers there is a broken link - the action gets recorded as if it has happened, but remains undone and incomplete. Either no one is catching it, or they don't care - and either are possible - incompetency or apathy. Big Sigh! No news here either.

Yes - It's competent enough to be in the same city - that's the real shocker... still I was really looking forward to a vacation in Seattle in order to do my Biometrics.
Well, you are the first one of us who hasn't been transferred who has received anything! So there is some hope. I sure would like to get a biometrics letter too - a number of us were all 'received' around the same time as you. We can always hope!

I got the biometrics letter yesterday. The appointment is at 1 pm on April 21st in Memphis. I still haven't got NOA. My card expires on May 2nd and I'm leaving for China on April 28th so I'll try to get a stamp while I'm there. Hope it'll work out. As I don't have the letter at hand and can't check my online status, I'll let you guys know once I get it today and see whether it's been transferred.

OOO another one - and right around the exact same time as me - that is great news:-). I don't know if you will be able to get the stamp at the Application Support Center which is where they do the biometrics. You may want to make a back-up infopass appointment as well that you can cancel if you need to just to make sure you don't have to try and make one on a short basis after the biometrics and they don't have an appointment slot available. Go check your mailbox!! WE GOT OURS TODAY!! You and I are right there too. I just read that QingQing got hers and I went immediately down to the mailbox. Biometrics scheduled for May 1st in Tampa (we have a little more notice than some). Kathryn, you have to be next!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
