This is my first poll, I hope it works. I thought of this poll when I was reading some people's posts about where you can and can't smoke in the states. I don't care what Osiris has to do...but he's not smoking in my house!
a1angied
OK I am not sure how to vote cos I don't allow ciggette smoke in my house but we do smoke the hooka in the house. So I guess I should check yes I allow smoking in my house.
Aymerlu
No smoking allowed in the house!!! I told my husband way before he even go here that he could not smoke in the house. My daughter has bad asthma and I didn't need cigarette smoke around here. Actually since I stopped smoking about 10 years ago I cannot even stand the smell of smoke in our friends homes, on people clothing, etc. It's like I'm a lot more sensative to smells now.
Nagishkaw
Let it all hang out and do your own thing is pretty much my motto, but please if you smoke, go to the window where I have a fan blowing out. If you don't , the smoke could kill my birds.
bridget
I got him a big ole winter coat, boots and long undies so when he is kicked outdoors to smoke he won't freeze his cajones off. tongue.gif
sereia
well my husband prooooooooooomised he'd quit by the time he got the visa. it was a HUGE issue with us. he lasted about two weeks before he broke down and bought his first pack. now i make his arse smoke anywhere but in the house! and he usually brushes his teeth before he comes near me with those ashtray lips!
Ahmed N Cheryl
Well I definitely do not allow anyone to smoke in my house............Including my own Mother. However, my habibi has already quit for me. So I do not have to worry about it. But I voted that I definitely do not allow it in my house.

I am so lucky to have you Ahmed!!!! I love you. heart.gif

Well Dh didn't smoke before and doesn't smoke now. I checked the "not in my house I don't care" option though because if he did smoke, that would be my attitude.
Y_habibitk
I smoke (way too much) but even when its freezing or hot a h*ll.. I have a fan in the window blowing out. He wants to quit eventually and he is going to "help" me stop smoking hee hee
I did quit for 3 years once, so I guess I can do it again.. but Im just not willing to give it up yet.
caybee
I had to pick the fourth choice, but he doesn't smoke, we don't allow smoking in our house (neither does our landlord), and the climate here is very mild anyway, so no cajones will be frozen.
Olivia*
I can't have smoking around me for my own health.
Ron/Sharon
I smoke at my place partially to piss my neighbour off, because they pissed me off when I moved in because of my smoking in front of the building and partially because it is my place heII I pay the rent and I don't want to walk down 3 flights of stair every time. My neighbour happens to be a fanatic environmentalist who I love sticking it to every time they tell me I am infringing upon their rights, I tend to remind them they have the right to move out if they feel offended by my habit.

I do not smoke when with Sharon unless we are outside, no smoking in the car, in the house or any other places such as restuarants with smoking sections.

I love reading all your answers so far! I should have put a "We're already non-smokers" option on there...sorry. My downstairs neighbors smoke...it's against the lease, and we have been assured by the landlord that it's not happening...funny, it doesn't smell like it's not happening!!!
MelindaandTarek
Well I don't allow smoking in my house...and wouldn't allow it around my children...he understands that and is okay w/it...and besides he does want to quit...so I am sure....when its 20 below and he is outside w/icicles hanging from various areas of his body trying desperately to light his cigarette and shield himself from the icy wind....it will "help" him stop....it is an ongoing joke that I have mentioned before...he laughs about all the changes moving here..no smoking in the house, in the car, in any restaurants or stores...he is cleaning/cooking/and washing for me...hahaha..we have a great time w/this joke!!!
Carolyn
Ugh. This is a sore topic around my house.

Before he came here, my husband insisted he wanted to quit, and I was convinced that smoking outside in Minnesota winters would cure him. Unfortunately, he has tried several times, but he keeps going back to it. He still smokes outside and has even become somewhat adjusted to the cold (not that he likes it wacko.gif ).

Now I'm hoping he'll quit for the baby, but I'm not holding my breath.

Tobacco is a very powerful addiction.

I didn't vote because there was no option that fit. My husband doesn't smoke, I don't smoke (hooka or cigarettes or anything else for that matter). If he did smoke I do not allow smoking in the house (and he hates the smell too...)
Ganja_Girl
Husband doesn't smoke, I do, I had quit for almost 10 years, and went through a divorce and started the bad habit again. No one in the family smokes, so they don't care if I have to freeze outside. My husband is sweet about it, my mother, is a total witch about it. I need to stop smoking again, but right now, I just can't even think about that. wacko.gif

I do allow smoking in my house but I would prefer a window be opened or at least cracked when the smoking takes place. It's just too cold and inconvenient in the winter to make my husband go outside to do it. I do have lots of those plug in air freshener thingys around the house to combat the odor.
brnidokiegurl
Hes supposed to be (slowing) on the smoking now to be able to quit soon (yea right) but i did tell him not in the house, he wont now around his mom or dad or in the family home
Jenn!
He smokes a lot, I smoke a little. We both smoke in the house.

Same here Jenn. We both smoke (Bren with more enthusiasm); but we don't smoke indoors. We smoke in the balcony. When people who smoke come over, I have no problem allowing them to smoke indoors though.

Smokers of the world, unite!!! wink.gif

p.s. Did I tell you folks that I was about to be ticketed for smoking OUTDOORS in my campus???? 100 USD for one ciggie. I got away with it and was not ticketed, but sheesh! the "citation" for smoking mariijuana is 25 USD... insane.

Same here. I checked no, i don't allow it coz i don't consider hooka as "smoking" heheh i know it has the same(0r worse) effect but it smells good so It doesn't bother me. Cigarettes are def not allowed coz they make everything reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeak.
Hubster does not smoke so no problems there.
I am an occasional smoker so its not a problem for me either. Usually I have 1 or 2 on the way to work and 1 or 2 on the way home from work..thats it.
I do not smoke in the car with my son or husband with me coz I think its rude to clog their lungs with my habit. But that's just me.
We don't sit in the smoking section of restaurants either coz I can't stand the smell of a dirty ashtray while I'm trying to eat.

did i rant long enough? lol
