Does anyone have any experience or advice on the most reasonably priced way to ship/move your belongings within the US? We are considering moving a substantial distance (possibily NY to CA) in a few months and really want to avoid having to sell everything and start over or doing the Uhaul self drive route.

I've seen UPack as an option - anyone have experience with them? We have an apartment so can't explore the POD route as we have nowhere to store the Pod while we pack it!

Thanks for your wisdom!

we will probably consider upack too smile.gif (montreal to los angeles)
check on cargo freight too. I tried uship.com yesterday, didn't got much answer but for a move US to US you might have more answers.
Also, with upack... i asked a quotation, and my sweet asked for the same... we had about 3/400$ differences.... (i don't know if it's the taxes or what) but i would suggest both of you ask for a quotation and see what it gives smile.gif

I recently did a move with Upack and was pretty pleased with it. I ended up hiring some people to help for a few hours because we have a piano and some antiques, (we hired them independently of the U-pack) and one of them was telling me that he wasnt a fan of Upack because their trucks dont have air ride and tend to be a really rough ride which can lead to damage. Well. MY U-pack was so damn stuffed and packed that I just dont see how on earth there could have been any shifting or damage and happy to say the truck arrived with everything just how it was when we loaded it. The truck arrived to our new home a little later than we had expected and been told (on a Monday instead of Friday) so we missed the weekend but they let us keep it a little longer than usual as it was their mistake.
I would recommend it as long as you pack your things in there well. I was very satisfied with it overall and it was WAY cheaper than a traditional mover.

that sounds great for a land move, but for those of us who need SHIPPING, it's not an option, unfortunately sad.gif
