I'm currently under OPT (expired on the end of May 08). My fiancee and I will get married in April 08 and I will apply AOS afterwards. The question that I have is do I need to apply for new EAD or I can just renew the EAD that I already have now? If I need to apply for new one, there will be a time that I cannot work (from June 08 till I get approved for my EAD), but I need to work to support my future wife. Can someone get permission to work from USCIS before EAD (applying under AOS) is approved?

If you apply for EAD along with AOS then it is a diffrent catagory you are applying under, so it is a new application.... I fo not know if you can extend your OPT EAD but if you cant then you will not be authorized to work until your EAD you apply for along with your AOS is approved and you have it in hand....
