For a "K" recipient the information highlighted above is not correct. A K-1 is work authorized upon arrival for the first 90 days. If the K-1 recipient receives the EAD stamp on there I-94 at entry they
can work. After marriage or if you are a K-3, the alien spouse will file for adjustment of status and work authorization. In most cases a EAD is issued within 60 -90 days of application and typically many months
before the AOS process is complete.
