Hi Everybody,

My question is this; Is it late now applying for employment authorization knowing that my case is already transfered to California??? I could have received my EAD a long time ago if I just included the I-765 application when I applied for AOS from the beginning, but I just didn't, stupid, i knowww sad.gif

So, do you think ladies and gentelmen that I can just send the I-765 application by itself now to the USCIS??? Or should i just wait for the green card coz it's almost done or whattt...??? I need the EAD badly sad.gif

Thanks in advance for any effort you do guys to help me solve this problem,

i think when you file it separately like that they charge for the ead.. 340.00 dollars.. you may want to check with uscis to be sure about the price, but it's not to late to file it, it just may cost you more to do so.. oneder

no0pb.gif Wrong. NO FEE for I-765 if I-485 was filed after July 30 2007 and paid the $1010 fee for the I-485.

You can still file I-765 based on the pending I-485, you use code (c )(9 ) You attach a copy of I-485 NOA1 letter, and mail the I-765 to the Chicago PO Box. NO FEE.

NOTE: If you filed a Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, as of July 30, 2007, no fee is required to also file a request for employment authorization on Form I-765. You may file the I-765concurrently with your I-485, or you may submit the I-765 at a later date. If you file Form I-765 separately, you must also submit a copy of your Form I-797C, Notice of Action, receipt as evidence of the filing of an I-485 as of July 30, 2007.
