wish all have blessed monday . most hate monday as it is the first day in work but today is holiday so i guess . it will be happy monday
i am going to the college today to get the certificate in english by the courses and subject i ever had in English that i might need it when i move to USA
my studies was in MicroBiology (B.S.C of science Microbiolgy section) and had Analytical biochemisty Diploma .
i work as Medical Labrotaory Specialist (do blood tests) . and i hope to work in same field in USA
anyone here has information about what i will need ? do i have to study again or just do some tests there

My prayers have gone up last night and this morning for all of those who have requested prayer and also for those who are still waiting for news from the Embassy.

Just left the kids off at school, now time to enjoy some coffee (the real coffee coffee ). And then do some cleaning.

Morning.........when we looked into what perviz needed .........we have to have all his papers showing that he was in medical school.....his scores.....job history and letter from his employer as well........he also went ahead and got letters from the universities about his studies showing his strong points..........u need all of it so that u can take the testing that u need to here. to be able to practice as a doctor in the usa it takes about eleven months to complete the testing they dont have it every month........im not sure but we have been told that he has to do residence in a hospital again......hope that helps some is all the information that i know at this point.

Good afternoon.... woke up sick this morning (well, worse than usual anyway) and crawled to work I have no sick days left and no vacation so I'm kinda SOL

I have another appointment at the hospital tomorrow and hopefully they can tell me something and finally come up with a treatment plan for me

Polarbear, I am thinkin' of ya. I really hope you get some good news ..and SOON. It sucks to feel like heck all the time. You deserve to feel good for once.

Monday... LOST 4LBS!!! How that happened, i have no clue coz I ate chocolate cake, reeces peanut butter eggs....alllll sortsa candy over the weekend. but oh well, I accept this weight loss. no matter how it came to me. lol!!!

it's been a while since i posted, or even logged onto visajourney..i miss you all!!!

...i've been feeling so blaaah lately, waiting for my husband.....insha allah 12 more days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i should be more excited...but there is SOOOOOO much to do, finishing up his resume, looking for jobs, getting his degree evaluated--for the SECOND time!!!!! by NYS, so he could register to take the FE Exam in October...ugh!!! and along side that...i'm taking 5 classes...midterms and papers are taking their toll on me....i need some prayers hopefully, i'll be graduating this August...not 100% sure yet..but i'm working on it...then i can focus on myself for a little bit...school sucks!!! lol...

anyway, now that i'm done with my rant... i hope everyone is well!! i've really missed you all and i hope all is going well....i haven't had a chance to look through the mena forum to find out who's had their visa issued...but i pray that this journey is over soon for everyyyyyone that is waiting! congratulations to everyone who got their visas, interview date, etc!!!

So I was talking to my husband earlier daydreaming about when he'll come and he says, "i need to be in the smoking section of the plane".



me: "there is no smoking on airplanes"
him: "you are wrong I think, I have seen them in the movies smoking it is just a different section"
me: "when the heck is that last time you went to the movies????? 20 years ago????"


he's flippin' a noodle now worrying about not being able to smoke for 7 hours straight or so. welcome to amrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeka!!!

He'll be fine. My husband is a dedicated smoker and although he had a rough time not being able to smoke, he survived. I did reiterate that he COULD NOT smoke in the bathroom so don't even try it.

I just built my own bidet by going to a plumbing supply store, purchasing the tubing, fittings, 0 rings, washers, hose, spray nozzle, etc., and hey, it works! My total cost : $22.00.

Hubby doesn't smoke, but I do, and by the time I hit Cairo, not a happy camper. My husband whom I love dearly always schedules my flights, and I don't have any extra time to get a cigarette. Also in France, which I think is a gateway to hell, is sure torture. It stucks, but he can do it, tell him, I survive, not happy or course, but yea, I guess you can say I always make it some how.

Tell him not to go crazy when he does get to smoke!!!!!!

Gosh, I am so glad to be home from work today!! it was one of those days, i swear, i EARNED every penny i made today! I walked into my office and I couldnt even see my desk, i had every persons file on it and even my chair i swore it looked like the leaning tower of pisa! Well, i had a talk with my boss and he looked surprised like what i was complaining about I couldnt find anything on my desk, not even room for one small tic tac. Well, i refused to go hunting through piles and when that file was needed, he had the pleasure of sorting through the mess, papers falling out from every angle. He then after said, we better think of another way to do this, ummm ya think so! Well after 8 hrs and leaving skid marks in the parking lot, i'm finally home. Well the kids sensed i had a bad day at work cuz i must have looked like this so now they are upstairs cleaning the home. I sure hope tomorrow will be better or I will start wearing military combatware to work...lol

Girlllllllll, you aint kiddin' about that one!

I helped make $6 million for my company today...I wonder when I'll get my cut.

yeah...he's a civil engineer....when i was looking for jobs, i found that most of them say EIT preferred or EIT a plus...blah blah.....so i looked into the exam for him and it turns out that civil engineers and any other engineer that'll be working on projects being presented to the public will need to take it...so i looked into the requirements to take the exam...only to find that we'd have to have his transcripts sent directly from his university in egypt to the new york state department of education....imagine doing that from a foreign country....it took him a while to do..they thought he was kidding...they said they never did that for anyone before...Thank GOD he's still there now..otherwise i don't know what we would've done....so, he's having his transcripts sent to the new york state dept of education....then, they will say whether he's eligible to take the exam or not....i see you're in california...so there may be different requirements for you...just google "california state board of engineers" and you'll find a lot of info on that....i have so many websites saved...but the most helpful would be ncees.org and the california state board of engineers....good luck...let me know if you have any questions about it...i'm easy to contact throught PM.. good luck with everything!!

You rock..Bridget I had to chuckle at ur post about ur husband and smoking...Tarek, I dont think, believes me that he can't smoke in any of the stores or restaurants...and he jokes about me being a feminist...so he will say...oh I can't wait to come to the US...no smoking anywhere....its cold and snowy...and I have more work, washing, cleaning and cooking.. and then he adds..but I love my crazy feminist whackadoo Minda!!!! hahaha
