Happy Easter! Happy (belated) Mawlid al-Nabi to our Muslim friends

We often read the stories of others who go through such extraordinary struggles in this journey and I'm sure, like myself, your heart aches for them. Gogo is the one that is most in my mind when I pray for our VJ family. Now Juan Carlos is catching up to him on my top 5 list.

I just wanted to send out a request to everyone in this big family, regardless where you are in the process or what faith you subscribe to, please pray for our brothers and sisters in VJ. This site has been so wonderful in assisting me and my husband with a plethora of information, without which we wouldn't have gotten this far. The power of prayer is an awesome thing too.

I will be spending this Easter Sunday praying for the VJ families to all be reunited and for the people who hold our families in their hands (USCIS and DOS) to work with compassion, professionalism and SPEED!

God likes persistence in prayer, let's give it to Him! A VJ prayer circle!

I was just thinking about your progress the other day, Divine. I am glad to see that your case is moving along and I hope alot smoother for you and your husband.


Our VJ family here are always in my prayers and that, we all be reunited with our loved ones and soon. Insha Allaah!!! I sit and read the stories and my heart goes out to each and everyone. I hope and pray that all of our VJ familes will see some progress with their cases and be with their families again and very soon.

Hi SusieK, how are you doing? seems like you will probably get your approval soon.. Once the RFE info is sent in, probably no more than a month??.. I hope so.. that would be great... that's what I have seen from people before who had RFEs.. even My Honey.. hers took about a month more and it got approved..

I would like to join the prayer circle for my VJ family:
Although my husband is by my side I know what it felt like not knowing when we would be together again.
I pray for the couples that still have to be reunited with the ones they love that all obstacles are overcome and doors are opened not closed for speedy reunions.
In Jesus name I pray AMEN!

Our anniversary is coming up too... March 27.. too bad I never got to celebrate with her any of the holidays, birthdays in over 3 years' time.. now I am finally going back in May (my birthday) to celebrate with her.. I was telling her I wanted to get those party hats, plates, and birthday whistle things and buy a cake.. haha.. she was laughing at me and said that those are for our little kids later.. haha.. but it will be good practice for them.. yeah, I will be going back in less than 2 months now.. already got approval from work for a 2 1/2 week vacation.. I am losing confidence on our case.. but the worst thing (like I said before) is for me to quit the government job and move back to China.. I would rather earn little money and be with her, than earning a lot of money and not be with her..

Hang in there Gogo. I know you've been through quite an ordeal but the end will come soon. Just gotta have faith! I feel like you are almost at the finish line so hang in just a little bit longer!

In 2month Devine will be celebrating her 1st year anniversary with her husband. I will unfortunately be sharing it over the phone. Can you believe that we were married two days apart in the same city?
I am having the same problem with my petitions as she did.
I will pray for the same ending result.

I feel everyone's Pain, Sorrow, joy, and celebrations! I thank God for you all! Even the ones who like to keep me on my tip toes.

Lurking... my journey isn't over yet and yours may take a sudden turn for the better like mine did! You just never know what to expect in this mess.

wow, so jealous of you, LvivLovers.. everything is done for you now.. well, at least you two are together.. there are still problems to solve, but at least the visa journey is over.. YAY!!

It was a really hard journey for us also in the beginning. We had to be apart 1 week after we got married then wait about 9 months to be together again. One of the hardest things either of us ever did. I know your's is much tougher than that even so I can only imagine. I can tell you that once we got out of USCIS everything was so much easier and we never had the same anxiety again, so I will hope and pray that it will be the same for you and any others who have been stuck for an unusually long time. Hang in there, and you will get through it.

What a beautiful prayer...even in the midst of adversity. I appreciate your strength and thoughtfulness.

I pray every night for our approval.. just losing a lot of faith now.. even my confidence level is dropping to near bottom now.. We are pretty much discussing our lives in China now.. what we plan to do there.. I just made another service request yesterday, but those things never work... the CSC person said that my birthday was coming soon, and that "happy birthday".. but I said "I don't really care for that.. I'm still away from my wife".. It's been almost a year now, and still no decision..

I'm glad to be a part of this large loving family.

We now stand at 258 days since our NOA1, and no word yet.
I've seeked help with my congressman and senator, so hopefully that will offer some help.
I have lost hope, but somehow I'm still full of it.
