it is my 7th day after interview and still no visa . i know there are alot waiting much more
wish we all have our visa soon . waiting is hard especially when you are away from your loved one

Happy Sunday all! I didn't even realize it was Easter until my mom sent me a card. I just had a good weekend with a friend who came over adn learned how to cook some things. Yay!

Depends on what kind of coffee we're talking about, but if it's the drink-- I don't even like it LOL. Dh gets that all to himself-- his very own coffee. It tastes bitter to me.

i never understood the obsession with coffee most people have. the taste is so overwhelmingly bitter for me i can't handle it! a good nusnus in morocco is fine because they drown it with cream and sugar, or a cappuccino with tons of sugar, but black coffee? ayyyyyyyy my taste buds are freezing up as i think of it! lol

Hm yes its been a loong long journey...but I feel this is a good time for all of us, whatever we are doing or wherever we are in life, the only way to be happy is to be satisfied with where we are. It's the same for me. Actually, 3+ cups of Arabic coffee will make me vomit. That was a not-so-interesting discovery.

I didn't learn to cook anything, I was teaching a friend how to bake a cake, how to make a stir-fry, how to make kebabs, how to make lentil soup, how to make phyllo-cupped mushrooms with parmesan cheese, how to make pitas, and how to make pizza. Oh! And how to make tomato sauce the way I do it (which I never do since i don't like it LOL, but it is ever-popular with people if I do choose to make it.) She was getting a crash-course in cooking so that she could visit her in-laws and look prepared.

Does that include taxes and fees? I have found some cheap ones (under $800) BUT they all involve a ridiculously small layover like under 2 hours and since he's never flown before and will most definitely be nervous I don't trust anything under 3 hours. There's one on Delta/Air France but it's like 1 hour and 50 minutes at Charles de Gaulle (sp?) which I hear is confusing anyways nevermind to a newbie with zippo time to maneuver.

Alitalia is pretty cheap I guess but they suck so bad in terms of being late or all of a sudden going on strike.

Egypt Air is the cheapest IF you book a month in advance but I dunno if we could wait that long after all this.

Time will tell and who knows when it will even happen. I sometimes feel that Cairo has forgotten about all of us who have been in AP so long and is just bringing the newbies on in in no time flat. I'm glad for them but I kind of wish it was a little more fair, you know?

Anyways someone take my clicker away 'cause I have been watching the food channel nonstop and Paula's boys just went to this place in Philly where they baked "the bomb" which is a rich moist chocolate bundt cake that they slice in half and put a peanutbutter mouse in for filling, then top it with more peanut butter mouse bombs and drizzle chocolate on top of that. OMG

Enjoying the afternoon with a cup of hot chocolate. I have had wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much coffee this week.

Ate leftover mansaf today (recipe posted in recipe thread) maaaan it was soooooooo goooooooooood...
Now I think I'll go for some of my sons leftover double layerd m&m chocolate covered cake he got for his birthday. yum again!
bye bye to the diet for the weekend. I guess I'll start back on Monday. *sigh* this sucks.

Doncha just hate it when someone says they're gonna come over and they call 1 hour late and say they fell asleep and woke up sick (for the 2nd time). I'm really perturbed (sp) right now coz we did a lot of preparing (again, for the 2nd time) for this person to come over and they are a no-show. GRRRRRRRROWLLLLLLLLLL
If anybody says they're gonna come visit again, I'm not going to make any special preparations ANYMORE! U can see my dirty house AS IS and that is that. Too bad.

Rabbits still live in my house. 1 of them still isn't eating food so that is why hubster is allowing them to stay. As soon as they both are eating food food, they gotsta go bye bye.

Watched the movie ENCHANTED this weekend. It is really cute. I recommend it for those who like humor in a disney kinda way. I liked it and heck, my son even liked it. yay disney!

I agree Bridget I feel some times Cairo has forgot about us that have been waiting so long. And rush the newbies. But I too am glad to see that Cairo has handed out so many visa's this year. Just hope they keep it up and dust off some of them older files. You know the ones sitting in the corner in the back room with our case number on it.
