Hey all!

I have done some reading on this subject and I am still a little confused. My fiance has ordered a police certificate (last week) from his local station and paid 10 pounds. The officer said that this was the form he needed and yadda yadda. I had seen the ACPO link and I thought that was what we were supposed to use. Assuming we will have our interview before August (I read that they will supposedly accept the old certificates up until then), and the certificate will be valid this whole time, is the local station certificate ok to use?? Should I order an ACPO too or is that just being way too anal retentive? I really don't want to make a misstep with something that should be pretty easy. What's the consensus on this subject?? Thanks!!

I would order the ACPO cert, it covers all of the UK.

This might also help... there is also an "official" thread I made for posting info about the HPV vaccine and the new police certificate...

Thanks so much for the info!

Hi Team Walsh,
Just to let you know. I was given the apco web address by my local police station. They said that this was the new procedure for specific countries immigration policies (Including the USA andd Australia).
I downloaded the application form. Sent it off last Saturday and received the completed Certificate this morning....Pretty Quick eh?

Definitely get the ACPO!!! Our visa is delayed pending the receipt of the new certificate...
