So today, we went to our interview and this is how our day went.

We drove 3 hours to OKC to be told upon arrival that all interviews had been cancelled for the day! WHAT??? So the security guard says "well I see you are coming from pretty far away, let me see what I can do". So he comes back and says he gave the interview letter to a supervisor and to go sit down and wait. We wait for about 15 minutes and a lady comes out to talk to us.

She told us that they didn't have anyone to conduct the interview today and that even if they did, the Service Center has not forwarded my file to them so they have nothing to look at! WHAT???? She said we were the fourth couple to get turned around that day, but at least the other 3 were given new interview dates. As for me, there was no new interview date scheduled for me when they checked in the system so I had to go home and wait!

She also said she was a little confused because my file was transfered to CSC in October, but TSC is the center that scheduled an interview for me. WHAT??? They are not even the ones working on my case but they schedule me for an interview?? That makes absolutely no sense. So basically, it seems TSC scheduled the interview for some unknown reason, but CSC was not advised of this so they never forwarded the file!!! I am so frustrated right now I could just scream!

I know you drove 3 hrs for your interview but aren't you with your significant other and you have your visa? That helps to ease the pain................sorry for your 3 hr drive for nothing.............

That video! OMG too funny!

To the previous poster....being with one's spouse IS indeed the most important thing. However, to be given such a load of misinformation is what the OP is rightfully angry about. I am sure if this had happened to you, you would be just as angry.

Wow, I would be FURIOUS. Three hours each way and all that stress.

Just goes to show you the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. If you came up from Lawton then you had the turnpike fares on top of it, and again no one there to refund your gas, turnpike, and most importantly, time. The good news is you got transferred to CSC who have been processing transfers at light speed. We were transferred to VSC and after initial touches, nothing. Now approaching one year. Ho hum. My wife is resigned to the process, but I wait with faint and dimming hope. Although you didn't get the service you wanted, I have found that OKC is a good area office, and the interviewers are pretty straight forward. Best of luckand watch the video I am sure it was filmed at the texas service center (notice i didn't capitalize them they don't deserve it)!

I was actually coming from SouthEastern Oklahoma, so I had to pay the turnpike fee on the Indian Nation turnpike, so yeah a lot of time AND money wasted...and a lot of frustration added!!

...and just think, some ppl want the govt to take over the health care system. They would prob give it the the USCIS.

I would be soooooo pisssssed to treated like this also.

man i feel for you! i would be kicking and screaming out that office!
hopefully you get an approval without an interview.

The USCIS is getting steadily worse, not better. So is the US. Once my wife gets her citizenship, we're outa here.

Why does she need the US Citizenship if you guys plan to move out of this country anyway ?
I got my 10 GC but I don't plan to apply for Citizenship and waist more money for the same reason

Because if you leave before getting citizenship, you will have wasted a lot of time, energy, and money. If by chance they need to come back to the US they will essentially need to start this process all over. THAT, my friend, would be even more waste of money.

I guess what I really find discusting is that these people won't use the telephone! They'd rather have couples show up for no good reason and then simply send them home.

Is there any doubt that these people are employed by the goverment? The arrogance!

Exactly! Once you have US citizenship you can live outside the US forever but you always have the right to come back. Having multiple citizenships is like having some good paid-up insurance policies.

So sorry for your experience. I had no idea uscis is such a mess. I had everything very smooth till removing the conditions, that didn’t have any worries (at least about the immigration thing). But now I am joining the team. wacko.gif

Hope you get approved fast without interview.

Our advice to you is to IMMEDIATELY contact your Senator or Congressman from your area and give them the FULL details of your situation and how you've been treated. They have helped us in the past. I hope this is resolved fast and you are approved.... trust me CONTACT YOUR people in Washington DC. Wishing you the best!

Well, that depends on how they filed EAD and all the OP said was EAD was denied...no details of bad treatment just a question of why it was denied. It could very well be that they filed the wrong code, or didn't sign something...it could be many reasons. NOT everything demands that you get your congressman involved. IMHO the best advice I could give is to look over what they've filed, make sure they signed everything, coded everything right, and make an infopass appointment to find out WHY they were denied. THEN if everything was done as it should be and no reason given for denial, I'd for sure contact my congressman.

Posted this response in the WRONG thread....MY BAD. blush.gif

Methinks in this situation that the OP has experienced, maybe a call to their senator might be helpful...maybe at least letting him or her know what has happened. It is possible some good could come of it.
