ViVi and JimJim
Finally I received my EAD in mail today, it was quite quick after they approved, the card production ordered on March 13th (it was on March 10th initially, I don't know why they changed later), and they sent me the appoval notice on March 18th, and after 2 days I received the new card.

But I have some questions, I found out that the name of card holder is my maiden name and the country of birth is China People's Republic of, I'm not sure if they consider Hong Kong = China???

1) Maiden name not marriage name
2) Country of Birth

Is there any problem for me? Would it cause any problem for me to apply the SSN later? (also for the green card)
Do I need to call them to make any correction? unsure.gif

Sorry to ask too much~Thanks in advance!! helpsmilie.gif

What name did you submit the application for EAD in? Since they base everything on the submitted application, it may not be clear where the source of the error came from.

Hong Kong is a special administrative district of the PRC.... It may not be wrong.
ViVi and JimJim
Awww then maybe it's my fault...what can I do now? crying.gif

I would be more worried about my green card and that it will be right.... The EAD is only an interim benefit.....
ViVi and JimJim
But I haven't applied SSN yet, is it a problem?
Hmmm after married, a name is really confused me!!! huh.gif

You do not need an SSN to apply for a GC.... Your SSN will be issued in your name on your EAD if you apply now and then you can change it once the GC is issued if in your married name.
ViVi and JimJim
So maybe I can wait until i got my GC then to apply for SSN??
But now I'm also worried, not sure what name will be shown on my GC... blush.gif

Cause now my EAD and AP, both in my maiden name... sad.gif

They are all separate applications... did you keep copies of what you submitted?
ViVi and JimJim
I saved all the PDF copies in my computer...
For I-485, I just put my marriage name at the Address C/O
ViVi and JimJim
Should I call to the 800 numbers to ask them for the name amendent tomorrow??? oops8rh.gif

Did all your NOA's come to you in your maiden name?

You cannot just call because they won't amend without proof of name change.
ViVi and JimJim
Yes...omg...they all came in my maiden name crying.gif
But when I submitted the forms, I attached with our marriage cert, I'll take the new surname.... oops8rh.gif
