Hi,

I am currently filling up the I-130 to petition for my father to live with me in the US. I am a naturalized US Citizen. One of the documents they say you are required to submit with the I-130 is your Naturalization Certificate. I have lost my naturalization certificate, and I am told it takes almost a year to get a replacement one. I was hoping I didn't have to wait that long to petition for my father. My question is, can I send another document in lieu of the Naturalization Cert as proof of my US Citizenship, like a copy of my current US passport? If yes, what do I put in Question #13 - where it asks for Naturalization #?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I think you should read the instructions for this. Or get an infopass appointment set up to talk to an USCIS representative.
