I emailed them once a week. Although it takes 2-3 days to get a response, they do always let you know. (ConsulMo@state.gov).
I would try to get some cash back from that paralegal! In my case, the interview was scheduled just under 60 days from their acknowledgment of petition receipt.
yes,slim ill do just that.

after a few kind irish limericks:) i called on friday at 1am est,(moscow is 7 hours ahead of us now due to time change) bit the bullet and used the credit card with the info service listed on the moscow embassy's website. the nice russian lady, very polite, took my info, and said,"call back today after 5pm moscow time,i will put inquiry, and you will know." next morning, fiancee sent me sms message stating she had called public number to embassy in moscow, they told her to" call back monday!", and she said to me"dear, dont call to them, maybe we will know monday...."
i said ok, but it just reminded me to call back info line:) so out came the old credit card and i called info line again. same lady, she said to me,"your fiancee's interview is scheduled for 20 may,8am."" spasibo balshoye! "i said. called my girl and told her. she asked me how i found out, i said"i know people, who know people":) thanks alot! now i have to update my timeline.
