There is no website unlike USCIS, therefore the best option is to call NVC 1 603 334 0700 option 1 then 5 to talk to a live operator. You can also email them at NVCINQUIRY@state.gov

That P.O. Box might be for the IV fee payments, a bill which James has told us we can't generate ourself. However, thank you for pointing out that they apparently have a separate P.O. Box for that.
P.O. Box 790135, as given by James, matches the address & envelope given to me for sending the AOS fee, the bill which we do generate ourselves.

Just needed a quick clarification..
In the DS3032 form, if the overseas beneficiary selects the 2nd option (i.e. does not wish to appoint and agent or attorney to receive mail about his application and chooses to receive all mails from NVC at his own address overseas), where will NVC send the Immigran Visa bill? to the beneficiary overseas or the US citizen petitioner?
If the bill gets sent to the beneficiary overseas, can the US citizen petitioner still send the fee/check from his US bank? and is there a barcode letter in that bill that needs to be returned to NVC with the payment?
Thanks.

Yes. The petitioner can purchase the money order or cashier's check, send it to the beneficiary, and then beneficiary can send that bill with it to NVC

Yes. Every bill, and correspondences from NVC always have the barcode all the time.

Hi there,
i read this topic very attentively, but for some reson i still have some questions,so if someone already come over this emigration process and used this short cuts,we would be very gratefull to hear your answer on such questions:
1)Can i send DS-3032 Choice of Agent throw the e-mail as a letter,as the instruction says in teh first page of this topic,or i need to download this form from the special link ,fill her and sent ?
if i need to download and send this form,so what do i need to do with the stuff that are written on the first page of this topic EXPIRATION DATE: 12/31/2006"? ? Can they cancel my form because of this???
2)Do i need to pay for AoS-Fee-Bill using the personal check,or i need to pay for thi using only money order or cashier's check ?
3)ON what exact adress do i need to send AoS-Fee-Bill?
We are anxiously waiting for your help on these questions, and also if soemone could help us with answering only for 1 or 2 questions,we anyway will be very glad to hear these,

1. The instructions say to have the beneficiary e-mail the NVC with the choice of agent. If you choose not to e-mail them and also choose not to wait for the DS-3032 to arrive, you can follow James' shortcuts step by step as some VJ members have used them and haven't had any problems.
2. Any payment you send to the NVC has to be on a money order or cashier's check. Personal checks are not accepted.
3. The address for the AOS bill can be found in James' shortcuts.

[Agent Name}
123 Main Street
Anytown, USA 12345
Example:
John Doe
123 Main Street
New York, NY 12345
I was wondering about this too, since the original template says
[Agent Name]
123 Main Street
Anytown, USA 12345
So we should have the state instead of "USA" (makes sense)
Another thing I'd like to confirm -- I saw on another post many pages back --
on DS 230 coversheet, the names should be LAST, FIRST, MIDDLE? Last name capitalized or regular? Also it should be this way for [Agent Name] above the address also?
Thanks!

Yes, capitalized. Ex. DOE, JOHN EDWARD

It depends on what you have submitted on the DS3032 as your agent name. If you have included the middle name on it then it should read as John Edward Doe, otherwise it will just be John Doe.

Hello, thank you for the info. Let me make sure that I got it right -- it's detail, but I want to make sure I get it right:
[Agent name] - in regular order (FN MN-if you included LN)-- just the first letters capitalized. - comes from DS3032
[Beneficiary's name] - all capitalized, LN, FN MN
[Petitioner name] - all capitalized, LN, FN MN - comes from forms that petitioner has submitted
LN=last name, FN=first name, MN=middle name
Is this correct? Thank you!

ok let me just reconfirm this for the DS-230 ( NOT DS-3032 choice of agent)......can someone check their offical DS-230 and confirm this, because I have heard some people putting FIRST MIDDLE LAST with no comma or anything for all spots, just as they received on the DS-3032 choice of agent form.
there are 3 spots on the DS-230 coversheet where we have to enter names.
(1)The first is at the top near the small barcode as follows:
[Agent Name]
123 Main Street
Anytown, USA 12345
-for this first part I have my name listed in this order LAST, FIRST MIDDLE
(2) the second spot asks for Beneficiary name and looks like this:
"...This letter contains instructions for processing the immigrant visa case of [Beneficiary Name]. We have received all necessary Immigrant Visa fees for this case."
-for this part I have my wife's name as LAST, FIRST MIDDLE
(3) the final spot at the very bottom asks for the Petitioner name and looks like this:
"FOR FAMILY-BASED IMMIGRANT VISAS: If this is a family-based visa case, then the petitioner,
[Petitioner Name] should pay the Affidavit of Support (I-864) Fee and complete an Affidavit of Support (I-864) form. "
-for this last spot I have my name listed as LAST, FIRST MIDDLE
please help before I submit

Yes, definitely. If you are able to either wait for the DS-3032 to arrive, or can generate your own (following James' shortcuts), then go ahead and mail it. Most of us only used the e-mail shortcut because we didn't have the beneficiary fill it out and sign it ahead of time.

Hi,
As far as I understand while sending filled out DS-230 to NVC I should send some other documents (like passport copy, birth and marriage certificate copies). Is that true?
And what about the police certificate? does NVC requite the original or certified copy will do?
cause I think I might need the original of the police certificate for the embassy interview.

To find out whether NVC is now requiring more for your country, go to
http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3176.html Select your embassy post from the drop-down menu and click on Request Instructions. On the page you are "directed" to, click on "Download all the immigrant visa instructions on [Standard/Appointment] NVC Processing Post]." If your embassy/country is Standard, you still only have to send in the passport bio page with the DS-230 Part I. If Appointment, however, read the instructions carefully and note that you will have to send in both DS-203 Parts I and II as well as a bunch of additional docs such as birth, marriage, divorce, and police certificates, all of which must be translated into English for the NVC. (Hence, the need for starting early to round these things up!)

Hello Cetin,
These steps only apply to CR1/IR1 visas since they have to go through extra processing at the NVC. K1 and K3 visas are given a case # and then are forwarded to the respective embassies without having to go through the extra steps at the NVC.

DS-230 ...
You will need to attach the coversheet to the completed DS-230 before sending it in. ...
In the resulting window, right click on the barcode and click on Copy. Paste the image into a graphics editing program such as
IrfanView (either by selecting Paste under the Edit menu or hitting Ctrl + V on the keyboard) and crop out the gray text "Powered by IDAutomation.com (i.e., draw a box around the barcode only and, e.g., in IrfanView, select Crop selection under the Edit menu). Copy the image from the graphics program either by selecting Copy under the Edit Menu or by hitting Ctrl+C on the keyboard. Then go to the MS Word copy of the DS-230 coversheet and left click on the old barcode that's already at the top, to the left of the words "INSTRUCTION PACKET AGENT." Hit the Delete key. Then click on Paste under the Edit menu (or hit Ctrl + V on the keyboard). The barcode may be underlined -- left click on it again and then de-select the "U" underline button in the MS Word Toolbar.
...
The instructions do not match the word document for the cover sheet.
The instructions say the barcode is after the words "INSTRUCTION PACKET AGENT" but those words don't exist.
The barcode on the example is much smaller than the resize specified by the instructions.
I apologize if this has already been covered, I did a search but did not see the answer.

Is there a time saver way for responding to an RFE? NVC got my DS-230 but is asking for additional documents. I've talked to a live operator and she already told me what are the missing documents. The NVC Automated Message now says: "a checklist letter was sent on November 1st..." but I am still not receiving it.
I wonder if there is a short-cut that I can send the missing documents in without waiting for the NVC checklist letter.
Thanks for advice.
