If you have recently sent Packet 3 for K3 visa to any Indian consulate, can you please let me know if the packet 3 contains any barcoded papers and the
list of papers/items you had to send to the consulate? My I-129F for K3 will reach Mumbai consulate this Friday, and I am thinking about downloading the forms off the consulate's web site and pre-emptively sending it to them. Thanks in advance!

The lady @ the counter @ Mumbai embassy took the following from us:

1. DS 230 Part I
2. Applicant Statement/Packet 3 Checklist pdf
3. Passport Copy
4. Passport sized Photos

You should verify with the D.O.S that the embassy in fact has received your case.

hi shreyans, i see from your timeline that your case has been received by the embassy. how did you find this information? did you contact the embassy or did the embassy sent something to your spouse? congratulations on your progress though...

and new delhi's website doesn't has a packet 3 to download. do i have to wait for them to send the packet 3 or can i just take that DS 230 and submit it at delhi.

How do you find out if Mumbai US consulate received the application from NVC?

Pls read my sig below. You 'll get quite an idea about my wife's P3 issues from Mumbai embassy.

Basically, after confirming with Mumbai embassy (thru email and I believe I was able to talk to someone on phone too but dont exactly remember now) that they have sent out my wife's packet 3 already and after not receiving it for about 2 weeks, we decided to have my wife print packet 3 off Mumbai embassy website (coz it is exactly same I think) fill it and just send it in thru registered mail, which they accepted. In case if they had rejected, my wife would have showed them an official email where in the embassy had stated that it was okay for my wife to print packet 3 off their site and send it in, if she dint receive one in the mail. Ironically, we recieved her packet 4 (appointment letter) at the same home address just fine and within about 2 weeks after we submitted her packet 3 proactively.

Sunny & Neetu, You can call D.O.State to find out your case status. As soon as ur case goes from NVC to embassy & the embassy receives it, the D.O.State will have updated information for you. Call (202) 663-1225. Dial Option 1, then 0 to speak to a visa specialist.

i had my wife go to the embassy and submit DS 230 on the 7th. They just updated their computers right there and returned the DS 230 to her. They didn't even have her sign the applicant statement form. I called the DOS on friday and they told me that embassy still has not set the interview yet. I see from the timeline that rajesh&laura were able to get the interview in MAY.

I am in the same situation. Called Mumbai consulate and they told me that they sent out packet 3. I have found packet 3 on the consulate website. What I am wondering is where I should send it to?
