Hey everyone,

I recently found out that my doctor had no record of my vaccinations from when I was younger. I know that I got all of them or close to all of them and really didn’t want to get them again if I didn’t need to.

I was told that I can call Ottawa Health and that they might have my history of vaccinations. I called this morning and they do have it and they are going to mail it to me free of charge!! ( FINALLY.. Something FREE!) kicking.gif

Just wanted to let everyone else know in case they don’t have a copy of their vaccination records. Ottawa Health told me that there should be a Health office in each province that has everyone’s records.

For anyone in the Ottawa area the number for Ottawa Health is 613-580-6744 ext. 24108

Hope this helps some of you out biggrin.gif

I called the Public health region where I mostly went to school and they had all my health records from when I was a Child. You need to contact you public health unit and they should have all of them. They must have a data base because I have lived in 3 different provinces and they had all of my records.

I have my small yellow Immunization Record booklet that my Mom kept for me when I was a child - it lists that I've received everything. But it's not signed by a Dr. So I'm guessing it's probably not valid.

I requested a copy of my immunization record from the Public Health Department, but I think I might just get a Titers test too to be safe.

On Dr.Seiden's website, it says that only people under age 18 need Hep. B, is that true? If so that is nice, but I have that one too, I should just get it on record just in case they change their minds!

Peel Region Public Health is mailing me my Immunization Records today smile.gif

They responded super fast and just needed my date of birth and the last school I attended in the region.

I hope they have everything on there!

Who should I call about this?
I only have my yellow immunization record....
Would my doctor give me a letter or should I contact Public Health in Brantford?

I don't know that it's NOT valid?? I got a NEW booklet, because they didn't have such thing when I was a child, and they're still not signed by Dr.'s. So I wouldn't worry about that. Matter of fact, other than a cramped initial, it's got different dates, some check marks, and stamped dates on it.

I went through my local Heath Unit in Alberta (the same people that came to my school and gave us the shots) They had no record on me. After so many years they don't keep them anymore.

It was easy enough to go to a local Walk in Clinic and ask to be sent to the Lab for a Titres test. I ended up being low immunity on a few things and went back to my health unit for the shots.

I didn't pay for any of it.

I emailed Seiden last night.
I got a response stating that yes, the little yellow immunization record is acceptable and I need nothing more.
YAY!!!
