Hi, I have few questions regarding the I-94 Arrival/Departure Record form. As per written in Sheriff Uling's post:

6.3 The I-94 Arrival / Departure Record form is within my signature. Foreigners (beneficiaries) complete the I-94 and the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer stamps the applicant's visa as well as the arrival / departure portions of the I-94 at the Port of Entry (POE) when entering the United States. The CBP Officer will keep the arrival portion and staple the departure portion of the I-94 to beneficiary's visa where they stamped the arrival date. The beneficiary will need this for the Adjustment of Status stage.

Are we going to download this form & fill it up before our flight to the US or are we going to do it at the POE? There's no instruction enclosed in the visa packet regarding this form. Anyone here knows the answer to my query?Just wondering what to do next. innocent.gif

The I-94 form will be given by the flight attendant before the plane land to your Port of Entry. You have to fill it out and present it to the Homeland Security Officer at the Airport together with your passport and Visa packet (the sealed brown envelope from the embassy).

Correct. In addition, the immigration officer will likewise stamp it with the date you are allowed to stay in the US and get married. They will give you 90 days, the period of time you two must get married. Make sure you have filled it up before arrival.

Just an addition, the I-94 is very important as you will be using it for applying SS number, state ID, etc. so make sure not to lose it. Some immigration officers at the POE will staple it on your passport while others don't. If the IO didn't attach it to your passport, borrow the stapler and do it yourself.

Good luck and bon voyage!

And oh, I-94 plays an important part on your AOS too and I heard it's quite pricey to request for a copy at DHS if you will lose it. good.gif
