For those who are waiting for an interview date at USEM.

I just got off the phone with USEM.

They gave me an interview date on April 22nd @ 7:30 am

Congratulations!! We also got an interview date of Apri 29 at 7:30 am. Did they also tell you there they no longer mail out packet 4 and that it had to be downloaded from the website? Lizel want to go take her medical next week and I am trying to determine what she can use to show proof.

I called at 8:00AM, and Amy is scheduled for April 22 @ 7:30AM too.

I asked what she needed to take to St. Lukes, and was told only her passport and the fee.

Called and spoke to Tess.
She gave me two appointment dates for our k1 visa application:
April 22 at 7:30am or MAy 12 at 7:30am.
I was hoping for the 29th.
How close can the medical exam be to the interview.
My lady will be travelling from afar and has no place to stay in Manila if she has to wait a week.

Can the interview date be changed next week to a later date? How many interviews do they do a day?
Why only one interview day aweek.

its good to have an early med just to be safe... some would go a week before the interview but no later than that in my opinion. the closer you're having your med in the interview date, the more risk you're going to take... and no its not advisable to move the interview date. i really hope you'll get the best way to plan her travel. im from cdo and i have to fly to manila dec 18-21 for my med, go home to cdo and fly again dec 27 for my interview... pricy but gota spend xmas with my family and either way ive got to spend for the hotel if ill stay there for a week anyways... good luck!

You need to purchase a PIN # ($18.00 for two calls)

I spoke with Paul (for the fourth time since May 14th)

He already knows me since I've spoken to him several times and he was able to give me the earliest possible interview date which is April 22nd 7:30 am.

do you have to donload the papers? for pack 4 now?

Yeah I called earlier today too while I was at work hehe. April 22nd!

I spoke to Candy and she told me to download packet 4 as they do not mail them anymore. I am not sure how accurate this may or may not be. The packet can be found at at the bottom of this page - http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3023.html

The embassy sent Lizel and appointment letter via email with her confirmation number and interview date of April 29 2008.

No but they suggested to have it a week prior to the interview date.

For those of you who scheduled your interview, were you notified by the embassy that you are ready to set your interview day, per the USEM website it states
"The applicant should have received a letter from the U.S. Embassy in Manila informing him/her that the case is ready to be scheduled. The letter will include a case number (usually beginning with the letters MNL). The applicant and petitioner can use this service so long as they have the complete name and address of the applicant and the case number begins with MNL. It is best to have the principal applicant’s passport number available as well."

I have close the same NOA2 approval as most of you but we have not rcvd anything from USEM, should i go ahead and call, and if so when will they open (I know close cause of holly week) will they be open Monday 24 Mar. Thanks for any help....

My Fiance never received anything in the mail. But keep in mind we were the first ones to go through this so they probably haven't sent out any letters yet. I would call the call center first thing Monday Morning (Philippine time).

I guess the USEM people have finally figured it out how to solve the problems of visa applicants not getting their Packet 4 (especially the Appointment Letter) on time. I remember when I was still waiting for it... I kept on missing the delivery guy and after 3 times of them trying, they stopped delivering it. I had to hunt down the carrier's office where my packet is sitting. I really didn't need the entire content - just the appointment letter, since I used the packet 4's forms online in filling them out.

when should i call the embessy my k1 was at the NVC on the 13th of march and they said it should be sent out in a week to the embessy that was on the 13th?

I called yesterday and received the same date and time as you April 22nd @ 7:30 am for my girl.

My letter said the same. My letter was dated Feb 22, which I called them yesterday. They told me they hadn't set a date for me but the I was within the window so she could set me a date on the phone and did April 22. What range is your number. Mine is MNL200855xxx.
