Hey I was just curious - I mailed back the DS 203 on Monday ( 3/17) and the NVC recieved it this morning. How long is it before they will give us a case closing date (provided they can not find any reason to request more info/ RFE/ etc) ?

And when they do that and give us the case closing date - about how long did it take for some of you guys to get an interview date told to you?? My husband is Tunisian, so it's going to be in the Tunis embassy and they told me that's an "appointment pass" location and that the interview will be scheduled from the NVC and not scheduled by the embassy - I mean it will be at the embassy just that NVC will set the time and date... Is there anyway to get NVC to tell me that?? Or will we have to wait for the embassy to notify Jihed?

It takes the NVC about 2 weeks to give you "case complete". The interview at the embassy depends on when the embassy can have an open slot for him. Check out other members going for CR1/IR1 visas in Tunisia to see how long it took them to get an interview with the embassy.
