Just wondering why ours is taking so long, Looks like people who did it the same day our a day before have been released for delivery, We had more than enough evidence, Heck i was deployed there for 5 months plus been back like 9 times in 2 years tons of photos with the whole familly, we bought a house, have land ect ect. I have a feeling they are giving us a hard time due to my name because it is muslim, Even though I have been in the Navy the last 16 years. I always get a hassle at the airport which is irritating to no end. I hope we hear something by Friday i changed our returning flights for the 30th, Hopefully I will not have to fly back to Guam alone and have to wait for her to get here. Just going crazy right now seeing everyone else with there visas in hand in less than 7 days and ours not even beening approved yet.

On my case, i found out my application's approved because the consul said so. Right after the interview the consul said "ok, your visa is approved" then stamped my papers with "APPROVED". However, my visa wasnt released til 6 days after the interview date.

Lately, visa approvals are delayed due to document verification. It seems like the fee has to be paid at least a month prior the interview to make sure that the verification result gets to the embassy before the interview date. If the result is not in their hands yet, they delay the approval. :-)

Didnt they say why your application is pending? Did they give you a piece of paper?

Your fiancee will know your visa is approved right after the interview. Either the consul will say this or right after at the releasing counter when the documents were returned & a pink slip was issued. If no document verification was required right after the interview, I'm sure the visa will be delivered soon. Try calling up the embassy to inquire if they already forwarded the visa to the courier or check it online using the tracking number issued by Delbros after the visa delivery payment. I got my visa today 6 days after the interview. I hope your fiancee will get the visa soon. Goodluck! good.gif

I called the embassy today and they said still processing, And Mylene said that just told here to wait until if they see if all the documents are true, If 5 months worth of hotel reciepts, 9 flights to the PI, a ton of photos, joint bank account, House, land, Military pay info, Taxes ect is not enough to approve on the spot i am highly suspicious of why they would take extra time. Photos of us with the whole family at Zoobic, baguio, Cavite, Tagatay, ect ect. We have a store in Savers Mall my god what else do they need a DNA sample. mad.gif

Guess I'm just impatient because it has been so long living apart any more delays at this point just make it terrible.

I'll post what happens.

One can say that the application is approved when the visa has been issued and ready for delivery and actually in hand. I knew mine was approved when I received a text from DELBROS two days after my interview that they have my visa and it was ready for delivery. I finally received my passport with the visa 8 days after my interview.

The interview is all about your fiancee now and "her" documents . No doubt you have authentic documents submitted but because of the high incident of fraud in making fake documents in the Philippines, this is what they are wary about hence the document verification. Be patient and hopefully you will get your visa very soon.

You have received the reason for the delay, everthing else you are focusing attention on is meaningless at this point.

As others have posted, document verification is the major hold-up in the final process to issue the visa.

You may want to focus on if and when the NSO will forward the verfication to the embassy. Upon NSO document arrival, when will the CO pick up the file for final process.

It's at this point, when the CO touches the file again, they have up to 6 weeks to issue the visa.

As I have been in your situation and similar circumstances, it is extremely frusting not having control of the process once it's in the CO's hands to issue the visa. Waiting and not getting support from the embassy staff with your inquiry is the hardest part. Eventually, the visa will be issued.

Good Luck

at the end of our interview (with my daughter), the consul said "you were approved" and i requested for visa pick up which was received as well. I agree that there are lots of fake documents, you will see that when you walk in Recto Avenue, they can even make a fake birth certificate in an NSO paper! So there might be no questions on the authenticity of your documents but its most probably from your fiance's end that the document verification is being done. Just be patient and keep on praying that the visa will be released soon...my prayers are with you

Still processing crying.gif

I just wonder why is this so inconstant, from what I see on the boards most people are getting them in around 7 days and it's been that long and still processing.

When was the document verification fee paid?
edp333
Ther longest wait I have seen for doc verification is two months. The average seems to be two to three weeks. I think we will be the new record holders soon for maximum length of time. We are starting week 11 since paying the fee and week 7 since the interview.

I know it doesn't seem like it, but they are really looking out for your interests as well as theirs. I know you love and trust your Filipina, but to them she is another possible scammer trying to fake her way into the U.S. by taking advantage of an American citizen.

We were fortunate and got or visa quickly, so I can't say I know how you feel. However, at least after they put us through all these checks we can be sure our girls are healthy and that they are who they say they are. Can you imagine how many guys like us would get taken advantage of if they were not doing these checks?

Unfortunately Delbros is closed Thursday and Friday of this week for Holy week and they don't deliver visas on the weekend, so if it doesn't come today it will be Monday at the soonest.

Good luck to you and I really hope you get your visa soon.

To the OP, i hope your fiance visa be delivered to your fiance very soon..

And aaappllee, you have mentioned at least a month prior to the scheduled interview. My question is, is it ok if i pay now? The NVC don't received though yet our approved petition (129-F and 130) from USCIS.

Just wondering.. or i can go to Metrobank and pay the document verification already? Thank you.

Just be patient..I don't think your "relationship evidence" has anything to do with the delay now. It's most likely because of the document verification. they probably still trying to clear out some kinks you/or you fiancee may have on birth cert, etc.

Still wating wacko.gif At least I spent a week there with my baby, Thank God I live in Guam. It was terrible to have to come back alone again today.

I think it was delayed because of the NSO Verification thing. The photos and the evidence that you submitted are fine and all your documents must be fine. It has nothing to do with your family name if i may say. It got delayed because they verify if her BC,cenomar and other NSO documents are genuine due to some fake papers submitted by others before. I just hope that she paid the NSO Verification fee ahead of time. One clever idea that i made during interview though, when i submitted MY documents....my BC and CENOMAR....i included the real receipt in that way, they wont verify anymore....and I bravely ask the kind consul laughing.gif if i am approved....hehehe, that is why i know i am APPROVED. My interview is a Thursday and received my VISA by mail on a TUESDAY morning. Anyway, i pray that it will arrive soon so that you will be together and enjoy each others company

30 days this weekend mad.gif I know it's bad but it makes it hard when you see people get it in a week or a few days after the interview. Especially when I had to fly back by myself.

Have u called the USEM, where is ur Fiance in the PH? try to call the Delbros as what we did in my visa
guamcouple
Yes I have called the Embassy I call them pretty much everyday. I just got of the phone again with them not more than 5 minutes ago, They say the same thing, the case is still under review I normally get some new and totally contradictory info every time I call, This time they said the case was updated on the 31st for a New NBI, no reason was giving why a new one was needed. Now the lady says it can be a maximum of 3 months WTH over, first it's 6 weeks from the interview date. They did give me a email to use to request expedited we'll see if I even get a reply back from that, Dealing with gov agencies there is nightmare.

The other big problem is she is moving at the end of the month and no matter what you do, with the embassy to send in a change of address they never update it in there system even after you talk to the rep and fax it in. The address she is at now is what is one the DS form and we need to make sure the visa gets delivered when ever that is mad.gif
