Hi,

I will be flying economic through Continental Airlines from India to Houston.
Am trying to find out how much baggage I can carry with me. On their website it says 50 lbs (23 kg). However someone who flew though Continental said he was allowed 43 kgs.

Am confused. Have they changed their specifications of baggage and weight? Though I will be calling Continental the very first thing tomorrow but in the meantime would like to see if anyone of you flew through Continental and how much you were allowed.

Thanks,
Manya

hi manya
it is 50 lbs but you can pay flat usd 25 and take additional 20 pounds for each checked baggage.
check with the local continental office as it might have changed.

I know from the UK we can have 20kg per bag and are allowed up to two bags depending on airline...

Uh, go by what Continental says. "Some guy" doesn't mean you won't get charged.

Youre allowed 2 bags weighing 50lbs each.

If theyre over:
"Customers who travel in Economy Class with checked baggage over 50 lbs (23 kg) and not exceeding 70 lbs (32 kg) will be charged at the rate of $50.00 per piece."
Was only $25 when I last travelled with them ohmy.gif
