Upmarket store Harrods is selling posh pot noodles - for £30 a portion.

The luxury versions of the budget snack will be a limited-edition to raise cash for charity.

Only 100 of the Poulet et Champignon (chicken and mushroom) flavour are being created.

Customers also get a free fork and table linen with the green and gold jar - the colours of the livery of the store in Knightsbridge, London.

Pot Noodles, once advertised as the "slag" of snacks, cost 89p in supermarkets.

The expensive take on the instant noodle snack that usually comes in a plastic pot is part of a two-month "design icons" promotion.

Harrods spokesman Andre Dang said: "We do not normally stock the product as a rule.

"We are also doing limited editions of Lea and Perrins Worcestershire sauce and Heinz tomato ketchup."

It's pretty cool that they're doing that. Personally I think pot noodles are disgusting but they are a part of British heritage and any ideas to raise money, particularly from Harrod's clientèle, is ok in my book. It would be interesting if they did a taste test with the regular chicken and mushroom pot noodle.

They prolly taste exactly the same...

I wonder if they could make fresh pot noodles with all natural ingredients... that would be cool... laughing.gif
