Dear frnds,

I have been married to my wife since last 1yr and 9 month.my case now completed at NVC &i am waiting for visa date.I get hopefully date of interview in april/May.(1 yr and 11 month if get date in may)
my questation is will i get 10yr green card(IR1) as i married for 2 year (date of marrige:02 June 2006)
or I will fall under conditional green card catagory?
or I should enter in US after my 2 yr complete(by delaying enterring 1 month,with stamped cr1 visa)
or when can i get more info in this regards
i seen this in wIKi FORUM

pl help me?

The answer to OP is, the Embassy will issue CR-1 visa, if your marriage is less than 2 years old during the visa issuance. You can enter into USA 2 years after your marriage and ask at the POE to change it to IR-1. But you can be be sure, if you will get the permanent green card or conditional one by mail. Or you can request the Embassy by email to schedule your interview immediately after your 2nd year's anniversary. Show the reasons of your request when you write the Embassy.

Ugg! The visa won't be changed. If the entry is after the 2 year anniversary, the green card will be unconditional. (ten year expiration)

If the interview is after 2 year anniversary the visa will be IR1. Sometimes the Consulates or POE make a mistake. This can be corrected with USCIS later, if needed.
