I had my 1st medical day today. Everything was running smooth. I accomplished everything. Xray, blood extraction, urine test, vital signs, eye check, blood pressure, physical exam.. as I was about to proceed to my last task which is Immunization Interview, I heard my name being paged. The lady "announcer" said that I am needed at the 3rd floor. Knowing that 3rd floor is the xray floor, I trembled i am so nervous!

They told me that they found something "suspicious" in my first x-ray. The problem is they wont tell you exactly what is it. They said pay the 294php at the cashier before I can take my 2nd xray. It was in apico position.

I will be back tomorrow 9am for the results. I hope everything is OK with my X-rays. I have no history of asthma, TB, heart disease or whatever disease re: lungs/heart I am scared and paranoid to death right now Please include me in your prayers..

didn't you try doing an x-ray check-up before your actual medical exam at SLEC? anyhow, don't worry... you'll be fine. God Bless.

i did have a film of my xray taken july 2007. my lungs are clear. i will bring it tomorrow..

aaisz, dont worry to much you will be fine. SOmething suspicious wont automatically mean you have TB. I've been there, done that. Be ready for anything that might happen, and pray a lot. We will pray for you.

I had my x-ray repeated 3 times during my medical but if they let you proceed to the next medical testing (which i think should be physical examination and vital signs) after taking your 2nd x-ray then you should be fine. I had the scare of my life too during that time considering that i dont smoke and drink.

You'll know on the second day if you require additional testing...if not, then you'll proceed with taking your shots and from there it will be smooth sailing....

you dont have to worry. same thing happened to me. Sometimes, they make you pay for apico because they didnt get a good shot. i think SOME personnels taking the xray are incompetent.

this was my experience: at the xray section that day, it was just me, a lola and another girl waiting for there turn in the xray room. when i got mine done, i moved to the laboratory for the blood test then someone from the xray dept asked for me and said, "they saw something" and ask me to pay for apico. so i said, "ok".

when i got to the cashier, i was shocked to see lola and the same girl paying for apico too! i asked what the xray personnel told them and guess what.... they said exactly the same thing to them! (its just weird that all of us had something suspicious in our lungs). Lola got mad and said “nakakapagtaka, kaka-medical exam ko lang 3 months aho. Malinis naman ako”. But we still paid and when we got to the xray section, lola complained. Lola works in a hospital with the radiology dept so she knows about xray. She demanded to see her film first. When she saw it, she said it was a bad shot. Then she got furious, “ang pangit ng kuha niyo tapos sasabihin niyo na may suspicious! Bakit hindi niyo na lang sabihin na pangit yung kuha at kailangan niyo ng bagong kuha. Nananakot pa kayo…” Lola demanded that another personnel take the shot. She didn’t trust the girl who took the first xray. Lola thinks she’s amateur.

So don’t worry. Maybe its just a bad shot. :-)

I wonder how is she doing now. I hope she's just having the same story as yours although I don't agree with paying for another X-Ray because the first one was not taken correctly.

guys! i just passed my medical exam today! wuhooo!
just when I thought I'll have delays because of repeated xrays the first day.. all turned out well. God is always good! and thank you thank you all for your prayers whew! what a relief!

you guys are right! "Lola" was right.. hmmm I also guessed that the tech there is quite unexperienced. it was a bad shot. and geesh, the lady tech is grumpy! on my 2nd xray, she asked me to lean back and she pushed me! she almost knocked my chin when she intructed me to chin up! i just let it passed. Im too scared to complain heehee

so anyways, ill be posting my medical experience soonish.. for the meantime, ill have to rest. I'm having fevers and feeling a little weak coz of immunization shots
