Good night folks...

I'd like to know if the personal check sent for the I-130 Fee can be drawn on the bank account of a 3rd party or if the personal check has to be in from the account of either the petitioner or the beneficiary?

Also, If you are just sending off the 1st packet and you don't have a A# as yet do you need to write anything on the check that you send with the packet like your name or something?

Thanks for the help!

I think the USCIS and state dept. will only accept certified bank checks and money orders. Check your instructions with form.

I sent a postal money order, made sure and made a copy of it and retained the reciept in a safe place.
