I have previously asked about TB and the sputum test. this really worries my fiancée and she asked me to post the question this way.
For those of you who were required to take the sputum test at SLEC, did you have several yrs of xrays and doctors note explaining that nothing has changed? she caught TB from her mom several years ago. she under went the 6 month treatment . and has gone every year to her pnuemologist for new Xrays and written results. she knows the SLEC will take their own Xrays. she is wondering since she has several years worth of Xrays and doctors notes will she have to do the sputum test.
thanks in advance for any info
i am not a doctor, but she may be ask for a sputum test if they want to make sure that there is really nothing there. or they may even wont ask her to. it really depends on them. whats better to do though is bring her x-ray result from her doctor at least 3 months old (they didnt take my 8 days old xray lol. they told me at least 3 months old from the day of my med)... the written results plus the xray will help slec to decide, but its up to the doctor... just let her have an early med at least a month before the interview to avoid delays especially if she'll have sputum test (hoping she wont)
good luck! God bless!!!
