Does USCIS request another name check to be performed when applying to remove conditions (I-751)?

They probably do when they run the finger print check. They do it again when you file for citizenship too.

Hi,
I agreed with eau_xplain.
I think, biometrics fingerprinting would be considered as background checking. This is more a comparison of your fingerprint specimen to the FBI's list of wanted citizens/terrorists' fingerprint specimen. Once it hit (that means your fingerprint matches with the FBI record), FBI will then investigate that, thus, it delayed your approval.
