So I called the Call Center today and after 17 minutes on hold they said the system is still not ready to set up interview appointments. She told me to call back March 19th. I'm so sick of this. This is ridiculous. At least I have one more call left on my $18 pin. I'm so frustrated right now. Way to ruin my week! If they can't set it up when I call back I think I will blow up.
Dr Mirage
Hey Eric,

We are both on the same both. I just called them also.

My fiance was saying that they better get the system up on March 18th, if there are more expected delays. We will have to wait til after HOLY WEEK. After the Easter holidays before we can get our appointment dates. Which will lead to more delays.

EricC
I'm just so upset right now. I was looking forward this whole week for this moment and they poop on me again. ranting33va.gif

They told you the 18th? They told me the 19th...

Hi Eric,

I just called the Call Center and they told me the same. Why they told us to call on the 14th if the system is not ready to set up interview appointments yet. Their sucks!
stuartx13
Well im just as mad that it another fee ontop of all the others. protest6wz.gif
joyce_peter
its really sad to read all your post...i really hope and pray that on march 18 or 19 system will be ready...
larryandlizel
I also got off the phone about 30 minutes ago with the Embassy and they told me to call back on the 19th as their system was not ready to go. Such a bummer, we were also hoping to obtain an interview date as well.
joyce_peter
just wanna ask guys that,if u wont be calling them you will not be set for an interview date????????
EricC
Don't konw Joyce and Peter. I was going to ask them what would have happened if I didn't call, would they still give me a default date or the last date once everyone picked out theirs, when I was on the phone, but I was so aggrivated I totally forgot. But I'm pretty sure its mandatory you call based on what is stated on the website and what I've been told.

just called USE call center.. they said they made a mistake.. its not March 14. appointments will be made March 19! ranting33va.gif

QUOTE
Starting March 14, 2008, those applying for K1, K2, K3 and K4 visas who have been notified by the Embassy to prepare for their interview can call a Visa Information Service operator to schedule an interview appointment at the U.S. Embassy.

they made a mistake? the last call i made was yesterday and they keep on insisting to call on the 14th! now that its 14 they say they made a mistake and call again on the 19th! this is unbelievable, terrible, and frustrating.
george and aaiz
eric im just frustrated like you man.. ive purchased the $18 pin twice. and if you can recall my previous posts I am always venting about their stupid craps.

holyweek will be next week. Philippine offices/establishements usually are closed for a week. some from holy wednesday till black saturday. lets expect more delays. USE sucks right? mellow.gif

Looks like they are closed 20th and 21st.
george and aaiz
yep.. so lets hope for the 18th, the 19th, or the 24th.
EricC
Yeah, if they tell me to call back again im going to go insane!
george and aaiz
u know what? i'm thinking of writing a letter to the director of USE or any officials there so as to complain about all these increases and delays and lies! but i was also thinking... will it matter? or would they actually have a care to read my letter.. i am soooo mad.gif

EricC
No it won't make a difference. I hate being in this position because its not like we can choose something else...

Just look on the bright side we are still almost done and will be with our loved ones in a couple months.
wlisa_rbert
hi everyone,

i'm so sory to hear all your problems, i am thankful that i got my packet already and my schedule .

More patience ...............

Why are you guys calling the 1-800 call center number? Why don't you call the embassy directly? When the messaging system comes on at the Manila Embassy, just hit "0" to talk to an agent about your case. It is much cheaper.

No use, the new procedure is to call the call center. Calling the Embassy directly will result in "The new procedure is to call the call center, we can't set up interviews here anymore".

I'm so sorry they are delaying you this way. But try to get some patience, think about how it would feel if everything was done, then you had to go through 6 months of security checks then finally when you are about to start on zoloft and forget about any bit of goodness in your life, the embassy finally calls, to say - MORE waiting, with no time frame. Thats basically my life here, my husband had his interview back in september of last year and he just got told he will have to wait more.

I only know God will help us and give us the good news in the right time.

I wish that your case will be completed soon.

Tammy

Yes, call the embassy or DOS that is cheaper and easier.

Ditto! I know how hard it was when we were working through the process and in a year's time, it's gotten worse. Hang in there! You have a place to vent here...

Cheers!!!

I understand your frustration when something changes in the process and causes a delay. back in 06 when IMBRA was implemented, it caused many of us back then a delay of 2 to 3 months. hang in there, the end of your journey is near... good.gif
