I am new here. After searching through the web i finally found a site that answers alot of my questions. Thank you for that
My fiancé (American) and I (German)know each other for quite a while and after our last vacation together, we finally decided to get married. We started the K1 Visa process.
He sent in the application in January.
Now my question for your .
Isn´t it usually like that, that after 30 days he would receive the NOA1 with the receipt number??
It´s been awhile now, and he still hasn´t gotten anything from the Service Center in California
Does it mean, they just need some time to actually work on the application? Do we have to call the Customer Service for further assistance???
I am just so scared that maybe some documents are missing/ incomplete or that they haven´t received the documents
Can anyone help me with your experiences on the K 1 Visa procedure??!?
I am just so anxious! I finally want to be with my fiancé and get married....(i bet all of you understand my concerns )

You should get a NOA-1 within a couple weeks from California Service Center. I hope you sent the package with some kind of tracking so you have confirmation that they actually received it. You can call the USCIS number and inquire if you are still waiting for your NOA-1.

Thank you so much. My fiancé did a money order (i think he is able to track that, right?). I don´t know exactly how that works. But i guess he will figure it out:) I told him to call the Customer Service as soon as possible:)
I am really happy when we get the answer that they actually received it!!!
