The 1 year EAD is applied for at the same time as the AOS... it is included in the price... you could file for it after you have filed for AOS all you would need to do is include a copy of your NOA1 from the I-485 if you wanted to file for it separately...

Yes, you only can file EAD with AOS package or after you got your I-185's NOA1. So, you need to file AOS first for get an EAD... or file jointly.
Make sure the I-765 submitted under catagory C9 not A6.
