We are almost approved !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Like I predicted before, they asked us his police records from when he lived in Mexico. I told him what I know the embassies here dont do that it has to be personal in mexico..
the consular said that the embassy of mexico needs to write us a letter saying that they do not emit those documents here!!!
now we have to wait and once we have it we need to send it with Santiago`s passport so they can stamp it!!!
how annoying!!!??
thay give us time thank god!!!!

everything else went well... he said as far as evidence and documents we had everything!!!
we just need to show them that document and go back !!! ASAP!!

That's weird. Mexico does not produce police records, and they know that since it's in the reciprocity schedule. Call the Mexican Embassy anyways, and chances are they will be so disorganized they won't give you much useful information.

I replied to your PMs. "Edomex" is a state/province, NOT the Mexican Federal Government.
And again, the Federal Mexican government does not issue police certificates - it's all in the reciprocity schedule.

FaSa, It happened to me with the police certificate from Mexico. I got Certificado de Antecedentes no penales from Estado de Mexico where I live. I did all this process through the embassy of Mexico in Honduras. The consul had to take my fingerprints, passport copy, and my information and send them to Secretaria de Relaciones Exteriores in Mexico Where my friend have to pick it up. I had to send a carta poder from Me to my friend, so i could give the authorizathion to get that document. I took like an hour to get it in Toluca.
You can see the website with the whole information http://www.edomex.gob.mx/portal/page/porta...-tramites?col=3
Good luck!!!
