congrats to everyone with NOA2 this week smile.gif

It's good that Feb filers are getting approvals again. I hope mine will be next. I'm so frustrated right now. I keep blaming my fiance because I gave him all the documents last week of January. If he filed right away we could have been approved by now.
jmmr
Aww no need to blame your fiance sad.gif Look at it this way: your fiance was just making sure it was P-E-R-F-E-C-T! What's another week? Be Patient smile.gif Your time will come really soon!! I know it! Good luck febz. rose.gif

Congrats to our latest approvals. CSC is starting to show a spark of life again. Those single digit weeks really sucked, so lets make up for it and post some BIG numbers!!!!!! I miss my mahal!!!!!!!

Hello Februay CSC filers. I am new here but filed on 12 Feb. Got NOA1 on 19 Feb. I feel like we might be getting close now...But then again I know that nothing is realiable in this business. My US fiance is here in England with me at the moment, so I am not as anxious and depressed as usual! unsure.gif

I have a question: What does "touched" mean? in your timelines? Are you chasing up your petitions?

Thanks x
nginear2
"Touched" means when your file was last updated on the USCIS website.

how have people been receieving their NOA2's by e-mail or hard copy? I'm not at homw right now so if they sent a hard copy and no e-mail i won't know for another week!!!!l

I see, thank you. I don't think mine has ever been "touched". It has just said "received and pending" for months. I will go home and check though I would like to think that it has been touched by human hands wacko.gif

Make sure your sitting, this is going to be shocking...it sounds like it's completely unpredictable right now. I've heard people who were notified by email and everything...but there are also people who have only heard by hard-copy. So...you're guess is as good as mine. Don't worry! At least we know with the NOA2 that we can't DO anything about it once we receive it, so it isn't like it will be held up because you don't get it right away. good.gif

Don't worry too much about touches. They're nice, and it would be awesome to know that someone has your petition in hand, but a LOT of people get approved without a single touch. A lot of other people get tons of touches, but no approval...so they don't really mean much. smile.gif

I don't understand the process. isn't it suppose to be on a first come first serve basis.

I guess I am a bit confused. I thought they go in the order they were received but I am seeing people who filed after I did getting theirs already, why does this happen?

I'm in the same boat. My theory, which would at least partially explain this, is that as petitions come in to the CSC, they are tossed into a box with similar (K-1, K-3, etc.) petitions. When that box is filled, they put a date on the box and begin filling another. Then, they work on the box with the earliest date. But, they start with the petition on top (the last one placed into that box) and work their way to the bottom. Thus, the first petition placed into that particular box is the last one looked at. It looks as though neither your petition or mine was at the top. sad.gif Just one possible explanation.....I really have no idea. But yeah, it does suck to see those who filed after us getting reviewed (and approved) before they even look at ours. Don't get me wrong. I'm happy for those getting approved. I'm just upset with the USCIS for NOT processing petitions in the order they were received (as they claim to do). Yet, I know there are many who filed much before us who still (apparently) haven't even had their petitions looked at. I feel for them, as they've been waiting longer than us.
Jon-n-Michelle
I'm convinced they do it just to irritate people. tongue.gif I've given up trying to make heads or tails out of the process, all I know is our time will come soon. If I start to see too many after me getting approved I'll be on the phone to my congressman's aide. I don't want to get stuck like sunnybear has, or worse yet, some of the leftovers from '07. I can't imagine waiting 240-280 days for NOA2. As much as I want my approval, I think they deserve theirs far more than me.

exactly. where is the right justice in here. they always said that we need to look at teh timeframe they have, but hey, why some get afford, that look like they filed late before us. how it happen and why it happen? that the real question here, why seem it sound so unfair to those who filed first and who filed late and get their NOA2. are they really workign this fairly? this really hurt me and this even feel me sad that now i wanted to give up with this paper works and let my fiance live w/me here at Philppines. i dont really understand why this happen this way.

I realize how lucky we were to get a NOA2 as quickly as we did from CSC.
One thing that I did was I filled out the forms electronically, all of them before printing them and signing them. I think this helped and made them easier to read.
We also included:
copy of birth certificate of beneficiary
copy of beneficiary passport
copy of beneficiary social security card.

these were not required but I believe that the more info you provide the better, plus it leaves less doubt in the mind of the USCIS employee working your case the extent of your partnership with your fiance.

and of course, following the VJ guides is the best way to success. I hope that the next couple of weeks will see more approvals and many will moe onto the next steps. hang in there.

Hey all.
I see so much FEB files was approved and i'm going a little bit crazy.
It's almost 5 month wacko.gif
And according to the Igor's list i will get NOA2 closer to 6 month crying.gif
I HATE USCIS headbonk.gif

i'm not expecting at this early we'll received our NOA2 (but i'm hoping to have one) since only first half of feb filers got thier NOA2.

God bless u all.. and i pray u'll received ur approval very very soon..

pinoy_pinay
I think I should stop expecting that I'll get NOA2 soon just because people who filed on the same date as mine already got their NOA2s. Apprarently that's now how it works. My fiance and I have been arguing a lot about it lately. We are both frustrated. We've been apart for three and half years now. Some people are so lucky. They only met last year and now they are together. I'm sorry for ranting but this is really frustrating.

Hey, don't worry like that there's still a lot of February filers before you and after you.
I know it is frustrating, i feel the same.
But it will happen.

Not today, as it's july 4. But next week or the week after, I'm sure about that.

seeing a February 16 approval don't mean that they forget your case, it depends from the officer who is working on. And don't forget also that what you see in VJ is maybe only 5% of all petitions that USCIS is working on.

Keep your hopes, all will be fine soon.

Hugs and kisses

Boy the wait feels like it takes forever. It is the forth of july here and all I keep telling myself is this will be the last year we are apart! It will be sooooo nice to watch the fireworks with my sweety. Just remember that we need to keep our patients and keep our hope. Soon enough all of our dreams will come true!! Although the wait feels like it takes forever.... just remember abstance makes the heart grow fonder!! I know me personally every day I am apart from Aline I miss her just that much more. Don't get me wrong I have my bad days to but I am really doing my best to try to look at the positives! I believe everything has its positive! So KEEP YOU HOPES HIGH! We are almost there!!

Just be patient everyone. I'm frustrated as all hell too, but we have been using this time to get closer. (Trust me, I'll show you my phone bill tongue.gif ) One thing you have t realize, is that the date you filed means nothing. It's the date you have on your NOA1 that is important.Thats the day the government received it. Some people get theirs in 1 or 2 days. Mine took 7 days. Some people don't get theirs for a month or better.Just because you file before someone, doesn't mean your first in line. Maybe they get NOA1 before you do. Also, remember that there are 100's of adjudicators, and that one may be more efficient than the next, or maybe your fiance has a common name that is harder to research. There are alot of different reasons why some people get approved sooner than others. All we can do is be patient. Unless we see another slow down, I expect to see the majority of Feb filers getting approved in the next 2 weeks. Of I remember correctly, I still think they only have 75% of Jan filers done. Some of those people are getting close to the 180 day mark, and the deserve to get approved too. Trust me, I'm not happy about the wait either, but I know that there is absolutely nothing I can do to push them along. The last thing I want them to do is get them irritated, and have an excuse to stick me in security check. Then they can give themselves 180 MORE days to have your petition. Its coming soon for all of us. Just remember that they can't keep us from our loved ones forever. smile.gif

Frustrated and just needed to vent a little. Kids keep asking when their papa would be home, wedding that is already paid for so date cant be changed now is coming up in mid October, going out of my mind worrying that this will not be finished in time and then we will be SOL and have to start ALL OVER filing a K-3, never have been good at waiting. Been with Mark for almost 4 years now and lately cant keep from crying myself to sleep. Trying to go to school and work both full time plus take care of four kids ages 9-17 and still have time for homework and spending time with Mark.
I feel stressed out, worn thin, and I am annoyed that the world is like this. I guess it is a naive way to think but who gives any government right to own people? This world should be for everyone, everyone should be free to move and live where they want. Some might say but what about taxes, yes you might have some people who move often to avoid taxes, but most people for cost of moving alone would not move all the time. I am sick of feeling like we are property and people can control if we can or can not be together. I understand we cant let everyone move to the USA but if the world were fully open to anyone to move anywhere I really think that would improve ALL the countries all around the world. Governments would have to make sure their country was run well so people would want to live there. It would be like a business trying to make their country the best.
I hate going to bed with Mark not by my side, the kids miss him like crazy, and while I understand that a lot of people are waiting this only makes me feel like, since we paid so much to get this started, then surely they could hire more people so this goes in a more timely manner.
We filed in early Feb. and got our NOA1 on Feb 11th. it has now been 145 days, we have not had a touch since Feb 13th, and I am frustrated as heck.
I know that some people from January have not gotten their NOA2, I just wish they would do something, cant they set up another service center? Some of our friends will be filing soon and they hope to get married next April, we will be there to support them, and have told them about this site, but we have also explained that it isnt easy.
Thanks for listening to my rant

I think we'll see the majority of the feb filers get approved in the next 2 weeks, IF CSC continues to work at a decent pace. We had 15 approvals on only a 4 day week out of them this past week, so that seems to be a good sign. Patience isn't my strongest attribute, but I know that they can't keep us apart forever. I just wish the people at CSC were forced against their will to be seperated from their loved ones. Maybe if they knew how it felt, they would be a little more compassionate to our needs. This has to be one of the worst experiences I've had to endure in my life. It's like 6 months of slow torture while being blind-folded. You never know whats coming next, or how much it's going to hurt. Thank God my fiance is patient and there to keep me calm.

It's like 6 months of slow torture while being blind-folded. You never know whats coming next, or how much it's going to hurt. Thank God my fiance is patient and there to keep me calm.

Hey guys!

I have a quick question: Why everyone has in the Personal Timeline table an estimate processing period and I don't? Does somebody know how it wors?

Any information will be appreciated.
Best regards and good luck 2 all!

Hey everyone smile.gif I hope everything is going well! I've been a bit MIA because Dennis is here on a visit. Unfortunately I'm still at work...but we knew I'd be working on his trip. I told him it would be good practice for once he's a house husband while we wait for his EAD laughing.gif

Rebecca-I'm so sorry sweetie sad.gif I can't even imagine how much harder this would be if I had kids. I hope we all see our NOA2s soon and our interview dates really soon after that.
