It's Friday and only 2 approvals all week. Unbelieveable mad.gif

P*ssed off would be a MILD understatement right now. i see our timeline estimates keep dropping also. I'm down to July 10

I know just how hard it is...believe me! We have waited years. sad.gif

You must keep in mind that when looking at all the stats here on VJ that it is SUCH a small percentage of actual filers. Someone last year figured it to be about 5% of all petitioners based on USCIS stats. Also, people are joining VJ all the time, creating new timelines that adds to your 'estimated date'. It means nothing as far as uscis time so try not to put too much faith in what the estimation says. Especially when you're so close. wink.gif If you do the DHL trick and look to see how many petitions are actually sent off to USEM each and every day... you will see they are still moving. wink.gif

Being a VSC filer, and a bit stir-crazy myself wink.gif , I went over the first 20 couples on Igor's VJ database and found most of those have either not even been here in a month or two, have been approved and just didnt update their timeline or are waiting on RFE's. Only 2 that I saw 'legitimately' still 'waiting'.

Also, as aravis stated, CSC has this history of not updating the website recently and many people were finding they were approved only by checking their snail mail!

Just hoping to offer a little perspective. wink.gif

I understand all of this and have read it countless times. The matter of fact is that I have had to sit idly bye and watch VSC filers get approved, get interviews, AND bring their fiancees here, that have filed 6 weeks AFTER us. And now that our turn has supposedly finally arrived, CSC posts the absolute lowest approval numbers of the year. I fought, bled and saw my friends die for this country, and this is how I am re-payed when I ask of something in return???? Excuse me for not being very happy with this process. I just want our NOA2 so I can get out of CSC hell, and get on with the rest of the process.

Something isn't right with Liviu & Lydia's timeline. You'll notice that the RFE received date is the same as the petition sent date and is before the NOA1 date. My guess is that the sent date (and probably the NOA1 date) is much earlier than indicated in their timeline.

Lots of recent K1 approvals are for those of Oct,Dec 07, and Jan 08 filers.

I love seeing the '07 ones...it's just plain ridiculous that those people are still waiting! Much as I want our approval, it makes me almost as happy to see those '07 ones finally get crossed off the list.

Is it just me or does it seem that things have slowed down at the CSC? Only a week left and then its July, I was so hoping that June would be our month.
Ok, so... once we do get our NOA2, how long does it normally take to get everything else completed? (fiance is in england so would be having the interview in London)
Just really hoping that everything goes through before our wedding in October, I really dont want to have to start this whole thing over with a K3.

The best way to get an idea is to look at the timelines and search for other recent London filers. It differs dramatically from embassy to embassy. Even within the same country it can differ a lot if they have more than one embassy that does K1 interviews (we got the slow center in the US, but Dennis will be going to Vancouver, which is the much faster embassy in Canada).

Time is going soooo sloooowwww (read that as slow as you can). Just 4 this week so far, but people still seem to be getting their approvals in from the last two weeks.

I'm not convinced that USCIS is properly updating right now...or ever. wacko.gif Keep a weather eye on your mailbox...hopefully we'll see some NOA2s arriving by mail this week! good.gif

It's like they are moving people from CSC to VSC to work on the applications! 1-1 1/2 month they all work in California and then 1-1 1/2 in Vermont... I just hope that all from 2007 get their NOA2 before the end of June!!

I think you're seeing the service centers alternate with the backlog of FBI name checks. I'm not positive about it, but it's just my gut instinct.

That would make sense. I've also heard people hypothesize that they choose a type of visa to work on for a week. When it's K-1s then we are flying on top of the world...but they choose some work-based visa, we are all sad and see nothing happen. It'll be ok...we'll all get our NOA2s eventually, hopefully sooner rather than later, but we'll all get them.

HEY FEBZ! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you guys. I hope you all hear something this week or early July. It looks like they're slowing down a bit, but hopefully they'll pop out a TON of approvals out of no where! good.gif I STILL CANT BELIEVE JUNE IS ALMOST GONE!! good.gif That makes me soooo happy to know that time is flying. I'm really hoping Jorge will be here no later than late September. whistling.gif I always come here and check to see how you're all doing, even though I don't say much! I've said this before, this site rocks! SO many helpful people... Good luck to you guys. innocent.gif

For the London consulate, recent timelines show its about 2 months from NOA2 to the actual interview.

I called and talked to a very nice lady at USCIS yesterday, and all she could tell me was that we are still within the normal processing time. She said "I know it is frustrating, but just give us some time". I really wanted to go off, but she was very courteous, so I couldn't. It just gets me, that my friend filed last year before the fee increase(which was to pay for more help) and got NOA2 in 100 days. We payed three times the price ($455) and are very realistically looking at 150+ days. Where is this so-called help? I think they all must have went to VSC, because CSC processing times are at least 33% slower than last year at this time. I honestly thought we feb filers were going to "OWN" the month of June, now it's almost gone, and we have the 4th of July looming, which will probably mean people using it as a jump start to an extended vacation. I just dont want to get stuck like the last few approvals from mid-jan and God forbid early Dec. I don't want to make it to the 180 day mark, but I warned my SO that it could very well happen so just be prepared. I told her that they cant keep us apart forever. Aug 12 is our 180 days from NOA1, and I WILL rattle the cage hard if I make it to that date. I would think a background check on me would be easy, I help a secret security clearance when I was in the Marine Corps, lived in the same place since I got out, and only got in trouble with the law once in 42 years. Even then I was found not guilty. Gotta love trouble making ex-in laws. Anyway, there's my somewhat subdued rant.

I hear ya! I have a secret clearence too, plus mutiple background checks because I hold a USCG engineers license. you think it would be a no brainer for them when checking me out. I'm just happy I got a touch last week, that means someone in CSC has looked at it or maybe spilled their coffe on it!!!

I know how you guys feel...well...I don't have a secret clearance or anything, but I have a fairly uncommon name and I've lived in the same city since I was 8. It'll come through...this is the process that we all have to go through, no one gets bumped ahead of their rightful place...some people's just take a little bit longer. You can drive yourself crazy by being angry about it...or you can just accept it and use this time to get ready for the next steps and to work on your relationship...and enjoy your last few months of being "single". wink.gif

Trust me...I have my days where everything just sucks and I can't stand it anymore. I just get so angry...but it really does just make me miserable, and there's nothing I can do to speed this process up. Calling CSC is just going to piss them off and eventually they'll put my petition at the bottom of the pile. The best thing you can do is start a letter writing campaign. I'm planning on starting one as soon as Dennis is here...I feel like it will hold more weight if I'm already through the process, it won't look like I"m just trying to get my NOA2 and then I'll stop bugging them. This process is stupid and the only way it will change is if we can spread awareness of what the process is REALLY like.
MBJ
Its hard Feb Filers., I know were gonna be soon.. 8 weeks from NOA2 to interview in london isnt that bad, theres still time and I would hazzard a guess that thats an outside estimate. smile.gif I know soon Im gonna be winging my way to the US of A. Now all I gotta do is convince my boss (in the US) to gimme a job. tongue.gif.
Jon-n-Michelle
I'm considering writing a few letters myself after we get through this. The wait is ridiculous. There is no reasonable explanation why one service center can grossly out perform the other in my eyes. I dont want to see the people in the future have to go through this like we have. I dont really care if I piss off CSC at this point in time, I'll be at their limit in 5 more weeks anyway, and they have no possible reason to deny me.

there's another feb filers approved!

Just a bit confused here, I was looking at the Igor's List and saw that according to Igor's List our case was "Updated Last" in May. We filed in Feb, and according to the USCIS website the last time we were "touched" was in Feb when we first got our NOA1.
Is there a difference between "updated last" and "touched"? What does "updated last" mean on igors?
Thanks smile.gif

That's the problem, I have not done anything with my time line at all since I put it in when we joined. That's why I was wondering who was updating it or why.
We joined at the end of Feb. after we filed, and I had put in my time line just after joining. Since I put in the time line I have not made any adjustments.
Jon-n-Michelle
Updating it won't change anything, its based on your filing date and NOA1 date.

hmm thats wierd, we are talking about the far right hand colum on on igors right? unsure.gif
well mine said 4th of the 05th but i thought that was the last time i added to it ( it is the last touch too, creepy) I just added a comment to mine to see if it updated the date but it didn't yet. that said i think it only updates once a day so it could still do. looking at the set up theres no way they could know whats happening with your case unless you input it. the only suggestion I have is you clicked and resaved or something since you made it and forgot or maybe I seem to remember thinking i saw both you and your other half posting here both Vito and I update ours. could your other half have clicked on it? thats the best ideas I could think of. unsure.gif cos theres no place other than comments to put touches down on your timeline.
either that or the programes physic blink.gif whistling.gif

Guys,

We just received notification via E-Mail Update and the USCIS Website.

We got our NOA2!!! Our I-129F was approved smile.gif

We're just waiting for our NOA2 Hard Copy, the transmittal of the petition to the NVC and then to the US Embassy here in Manila and finally my interview.

To all the February CSC Filers, hang on, I'm sure all of you are going to get your NOA2's soon:)

Here's to faster approval times for NOA2's and eventually K1 Visas for all of us smile.gif

Keeping my fingers crossed for you all!

CSC does seem to like to issue approvals often without any touches or even e-mails, so lack of a touch isn't always necessarily a bad sign. The website is a useful tool but not 100% reliable, unfortunately.
