This is the worst process I've ever witnessed. This has been a huge emotional and physical drain on me. I've literally lost 30lbs in the past 4 months, over all the stress. I'm really finding it hard to get excited at this point, and I'm an early feb filer. I haven't even broken 100 on Igors list yet. Sorry for being a downer, but this has really taken a toll on me.

Ok... can someone explain exactly what Igors list is? I thought it was just someone who is on this website putting together a list of people who put in time lines.... guess not... And how do you get on the list?
also....
About the weight loss... you have no idea how many people would trade places with you... sadly some of us gain when we are stressed rather than lose.. sad.gif

That is exactly what Igor's list is. Although I believe there is a program now that has been written that automatically updates it whenever there is a timeline update.

Jon-I know it's hard...we all know. You'll get through this good.gif

Hi Everyone!

I'm basically a February filer (Jan 29th). Just thought I'd say hi and keep your heads up!! It will all be worth it in the end. blush.gif

Just think about it... one year from now, we will all be with our loves and will realize how much stronger this process made us.

It is really nice to have a site like this where I can read about and talk to people who are going through the exact same thing as me....

Stay positive Feb filers!!! We will be getting approved soon!! good.gif

I've got the day off tomorrow!! I work 9 hour days so I get every other Friday off. It's nice.

Congrats to Benny and Cassi. As each day goes by...the closer we get to our NOA2's!

WOW, I woke up after my 4 hours of sleep night, and then I see that... yay... congrats!!

Ok folks...I have a question for you. The January filers list includes people who mailed in January, but received their NOA1 in February. When I made my list I only included people who mailed in February. Do you guys want me to add the mailed in January/NOA1 in February people to our list?

You're a cusp...like if you're born right between two astrological signs wink.gif That means you can be both! I suppose that answers my own question...when I get to work I'll add the Jan mailers/Feb NOA1ers to the list.

If it's not too much trouble, I'd add the January mail'ers to the list just to be sure no one is left out.
The list in the "January CSC filers" thread goes by NOA1 date. So, the January mail'ers are not on that list.

That's one of those questions that is really important to people, but also actually meaningless at the same time. The discussion of whether people consider themselves filers in one month or another hinges on whether the date the petition was mailed vs. an NOA1 date and has been discussed a great deal in other threads (see the Waiting for Approval from CSC thread). Basically, Igor's list and other groupings of filers by month are done by the date that the petitions were mailed, not by the NOA1 date. This is done for several reasons:

1) People are wildly inaccurate in putting in their NOA1 dates - some people put in the date they receive the NOA1 in the mail, some put the date the CSC receipted the application, some people put the date on the NOA1 itself;
2) the NOA1 Date is often not reflective of what "box" you are in when it comes to order of processing - if you take a look at the amount of time between when the petition is mailed and what the NOA1 date is you see date ranges from 2 days to 3 weeks, if not more, yet when the people are approved and receive their NOA2 they tend to cluster more closely with the "mailed" date rather than the NOA1 date;
3) the USCIS boxes (and supposedly processes) applications in the order that they are received not by the date of the NOA1. Pretty much anywhere in the US to CSC takes no more than 3-4 days between mailing and receipt in California;
4) If there is one date that people know and remember it is the date that they actually mailed the petition - it is of great significance to everyone, and in many people's minds that is the date that the clock starts ticking.

Theoretically, the best date would be the date the CSC physically received the application, but for many that information is not available. Those are some of the reasons that generally the mailing date is used in listing rather than by NOA1 dates. But it doesn't really matter. In the January CSC thread we stated that it was based on mailed date so as to correspond with Igor's list (easier to track progress). Still, there were a number of people who filed in late December that wanted to be included in the list of January filers - and were. So, Benny and Cassi have been listed with the January applicants because they filed in January, but if you want to include them in February, I'm sure they will not mind, after all, they've passed on to a better place - the NVC!

Really, I just maintain the list in a word document and update it from there. But you're right, any tabs and formats are lost when copying over to this site - if you could paste bitmaps all would be well, but you can't do that either. That is why on the January CSC listing you see underscores, dashes, or dots seperating the names from the dates. The other thing to remember is that your list will continually change as new people join. Some people will also disappear if they remove themselves from the site (rare but it actually does happen). So once a week you should go through the list name by name and compare it to Igor's listing to see if new people have joined. Once it's copied I just bold a few lines and resize the percentages, that's all.

As for the Dember filers that were included in the January list, I only included those that told me that they wanted to be included with the January filers - it was kinda up to them. There was a larger number of December filers with NOA1 dates in January that were not included. There is no right or wrong answer on this one.
BlakeandOlha
You may also want to add Josie & Nate...... they filed on Sept. 14, 2007 but have a NOA1 date of 2/28, and were approved on 5/15.... and E&M that were november 2007 filers but have a 2/4/08 NOA1 date - see what I mean about using NOA1 dates? laughing.gif

I wonder about putting it on a photosharing website like photobucket and then just including the image from there...I'll try that next time I update the list.

It's gotta start happening soon, and in a big way. I wouldn't be suprised at all with a number of approvals next week. The general thought is that once your under 100 your fair game, once your under 70 then your ripe for the picking. I hope we all get ripe very quickly.

It's time...we'll be next. It seems like they started getting a really good start on January once December was about halfway done...we're now at the halfway point of January so I wouldn't be surprised to start seeing CSC get going on February this week or next.
Craig & Julia
"Dear CSC people, please start giving us a lot of February approval this week, that's all I wish for for my birthday this time! I promise I will be a good person, and will be nice to everyone else. Please start touching us, we won't sue your for doing it."

Hello February filers. I am one of you! I have been a silent observer for a while, and of course, the guides were so much help in understanding the K1 application in the first place.

I thought it was about time I said hello to everyone, and I wish you all a speedy approval!
