We are getting ready for our interview and I have a question. I am gathering the originals of everything I have sent and I will add our daughter's BC (She was born after we filed).
My question is about DH's will. DH has a will, but I am not the beneficiary. We have no assets aside from the car which is in my name. The beneficiaries are actually the kids with myself as the executor. I am however the sole beneficiary of his life insurance which is, I think, a lot more important. LOL Do you think it would help us to take a copy of his will (since I am the executor) or do you think it would hurt the case (since I am not the beneficiary)?
Any opinions? I am kinda torn on that one. Thanks in advance.

I'd take both.
The will is good in that it shows that the kids you two have together are listed in an important legal document, and that you are named as executor. The insurance is good in that it lists you as a beneficiary. Looks like normal family-related paperwork to me!

I think you're going to be fine. Unless the USCIS person is a total a$$, I can't believe that you'll have any problem "proving" a bona fide relationship for after all, you have one, don't you?

I do not see any negative ramifications of showing the will. If anything you are the executor, and sole beneficiary to the life insurance so that is all good. Good luck for your interview!

I'm curious to know how your interview went! Please post! My husband and I are leaving in 15 mins for your interview and my stomach is in absolute KNOTS. I feel like I've provided so much evidence each time asked, and not only that but I provided it very organized with a table of contents, etc. This time, I had a huge project at work and had to travel out of town and come back early and had no time to organize.
I will report back how it was, I don't know why we were selected to interview, that's the part that makes me nervous. We have NOTHING to hide, so why am I so nervous? Oh yeah, because the AOS interview was so incredibly unreasonable. They spent the entire interview asking my husband intimate questions about his ex-girlfriend whom he had been split up from for 10 or more years. He was SO puzzled, I guess something about that didn't ring right with them. It's very insulting to me. Anyway....
Hoping you have good news Canuck.
