I've been in Kitchener/Waterloo area this winter. I have NEVER seen snow like this. I grew up on the Gulf Coast, and then moved to Pittsburgh in 05', so I'm used to a bit of snow, but nothing like this storm! We've visited Ottawa a few times, so I've seen it on the ground like this, but never had to deal with it! I feel bad for my fiance's 85 year old grandparents in Ottawa-as of yesterday evening, the snow plows still hadn't been through-and they got about 55cm's of snow.
Not being able to open your car door because the snow is too high-no fun.
I've never had to shovel before-until yesterday!
I absolutely love the snow-and will miss it terribly when we move down to the Coast & start getting those tropical breezes.
I don't know how I did it, but I think I brought the winter up here with me this year! As a US resident marrying a Canadian, who has actually made it through an entire winter in Canada-doesn't that make me an honorary Canadian or something?
