That is the reason why I eat even the last grain of rice on my plate and never waste it. I feel fortunate enough that we can afford rice here and will not take advantage of it.

That is so true, Mae. I also eat the last grain of rice on my plate or drink the last drop of juice/shake/water. A lot of people are getting hungry and we're very fortunate we can afford 3 meals a day and sometimes, snacks in between.

I read somewhere that one of the reasons why there is shortage of grains is because of the production of biofuel. The lands that were formerly for growing corn and rice are now being replaced by crops to be used for biofuel. It takes less time to grow and more profit compared to rice and corn sad.gif
I thought before that biofuel is made of recycled food/crops tongue.gif i guess i'm wrong sad.gif
