Hello everyone!

Just wanted you all to know that Ryan was born on 2-26-08 via emergency c-section. He was exaclty 37 weeks. He was in neonatal intensive care until last Saturday night when the doctor finally gave him the ok to come home. He has been doing well all week. He weighed 6 lbs and 6 ounces and was 20 inches long. He has been such a fighter and he is a very happy and content baby now. Please keep him in your prayers as he contniues to recover. He did go to the doctor last Tuesday and he had gained 6 ounces. Now we will have to wait and see what the pediatric cardiologist has to say when we see him. Ryan had a lot of fluid in his lungs due to the c-section and had a very fast and irregular heartbeat. I was leaking fluid and that was what caused the emergency c-section. Labor was induced and as I progressed through labor, Ryan began having a hard time and his heart rate began to drop. The neonatologist was called in during delivery and the neonatology team saw to it the Ryan was well taken care of. He had one of the best neonatologists in the nation, which was an absolute blessing. At one point they thought that he had pneumonia (sp) and that they would have to put a tube down his throat to feed him. He never had the tube put in bc he began eating well. (i started him on breast milk...moms liquid gold) He had an IV for antibiotics and a bunch of other wires connected to him to monitor his breathing, heart rate, temp... Hope everyone else is doing well.

Welcome to the world baby Ryan! Don't forget to tell him that he has one of the greatest ppl in the world as a mama. You are such a super person and if you're as gooda mom as u are a friend, that precious boy will have a superb life full of love. Congrats on the birth of Baby Ryan and I pray that God will continue to keep care over him and bring him through all the health issues. I pray that you are doing well and recovering from teh C-Sec and the stress of all that went on with the delivery and care so far. You are a strong lady and God will continue to guide you through all of this but know that you are in our prayers.
