Hello all,

I couldn't find this in the Canada forum already so I'll ask:

I'm (obviously) a Canadian and I think I was in the US last year for a little over 180 days (didn't enter with a visa or anything). Will this bite me in the bottom or will they excuse this overstay? Is this really considered overstay? If so, am I eligible to get a waiver to go home anyhow (if not a waiver, can I plead with them)? I didn't work illegally or legally, and I was a model visitor while in the US smile.gif

On all my forms I stated that I was in the US between July and December, 2006. Will they ask me to count every hour of every minute to come up with 184 days? I was actually traveling for 2 of those days, and still......

I really don't want to get barred, but if anyone has any information, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Ciao.

without a visitor waver I doubt they will be counting your days when you come and go ,

That's what I was thinking. Why worry when you don't have to. good.gif

My husband was here for 9 months (in a row) we put it right on the bio forms and it was not even mentioned in our interview in Montreal.

"Canadians who lawfully enter the U.S., but who were not given I-94's, are treated like status violators if they overstay or fail to maintain status. They do not accumulate unlawful presence, and the 3 and the 10-year bars do not apply, where neither the USCIS nor an Immigration Judge has made a determination that the person has violated status."
