We're up so early because we're catching a flight to San Diego to catch the cruise to Mexico. Mom and I chatted late last night and barely slept. It was fun! Happy Caturday Everyone!

Oh also...my senator got a reply for Cairo?! Cairo confirmed they received all necessary papers from Tarek - yahoo - and all March interview dates are full...they will schedule him for April and send him letter w/interview date/time....so happy to get some news...and I got my wedding dress yesterday too

I just realized it has been over 17 months since I saw my SO. Im so poor at math, but maybe it's a good thing.

The cat pics just plain crack me up! I wish my princessa would do something cute. Eating, using the litter box and sleeping is her whole day. lol

Yep, thunder snow! I have a super fun filled busy day today. First I will lay here and figure out where my breakfast is, then I am gonna friggin beg/pay the doctor to let me take a real shower. Then I'm gonna get busy with the word search my dad brought me last night. My kids are coming up sometime today and we'll watch movies and pop pop-corn. (This little pantry they have right next to my room rocks!) I'm praying my daughter will be able to come. She's had the respiratory flu last week and although she's acting fine, she still runs a low grade temp off and on. I told my mom to give her some Advil and bring her to me. Yep, that's my busy day today.

OMG, they just brought my breakfast to me and I swear the grabbed a sponge from housekeeping and threw it on my plate. I big yellow sponge that's supposed to be eggs. I'm calling 1-800 DADDY and tell him to go to IHOP (thanks for the idea yesterday girls!)

Just seen you are from the Cleveland area possibly? Same thing happened to me last night. I am in between Dayton and Cincinnati. So much snow here, like a blizzard, we are basically snowed in the house for the next few days.

I think its all a dream, none of us are REALLY up ha thunder snow happens in Okla often, looks like the days will start to warm some so maybe the cold will be behind us. Change clocks tonight!!!

Thank goodness it wasn't shredded wheat. I swear you can use that as a scouring pad .

Morning. I finally slept until I woke up

at 8:30

I dreamed that my two sisters and I were together with some other women, and someone suggested that we take turns reading aloud from some psychopop book. Dunno which one it was -- I heard the phrase transactional analysis in the dream but I doubt it was really, more like Dr. Phil stuff... not that there's anything wrong with that...

I must have rolled my eyes and grunted my disapproval because I got a glare from my youngest sister, so I was settling in for a couple hours of hell when I woke up.

It looks like a beautiful day here so far. I'm recording the audio from a DVD so I can transcribe it later for work, probably after the sun goes down. We have a washer now, but no dryer yet, so this will be great weather for drying the laundry in the sun instead of toting them to the laundromat. I miss my mother-in-law's roof.

We had gotten attached to the neighbors' cat when we felt they were neglecting her -- she was left outside unspayed, etc -- and when they moved, we thought they'd left her, but then they came back and asked for her. So since then, we've been thinking about getting one. Last weekend, we visited the Humane Society and hung with the big cats for a while. Honestly, their situation is nicer than our apartment -- they have a big, screened porch area with lots of sunbeams and places to sleep and play, and a cat door into another nice room with many levels for sleeping and hanging out. Those also aren't under a death sentence. I wouldn't mind adopting an adult, but hubby would kinda rather have a kitten at this point to grow up with us since we are a new couple. We'll probably go back there and visit today, though, since they encourage people to come and spend time with the animals and help with socialization.

We know of a couple who has one male and two female cats and didn't think to get any of them fixed, so one female has just had babies and the other is pregnant. We've passed along word that we are interested, and we'll probably take two kittens since they'll be happier when we are at work if they have each other. We'll have to wait about seven more weeks, but pictures will follow if we adopt.

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted. I try to get on at work to at least catch up on a few posts before my boss shows up, but it's been so busy that sometimes he's there before me I think he's about to just set up a cot in his office... he already uses it as a changing room

Sooooooo my work is making cuts to save money....Watched a good friend get the axe last week. ..I will have a closed door session with my boss this week and beg to keep my job. I am 2 checks away from being homeless and my son moves out today and I am in a financial pickle. grrrrrrrrr I just figured out my new budget and after paying my monthly expenses, I have $4.60 a day to live on. I will be needing to decide on the dollar menu or shampoo/toliet paper. I've heard God never gives you more than you can handle. I'm strong.

Happy Saturday for all that I missed. I'm researching if I can get reimbursed for my tubal ligation reversal at some point in time. I *think* I found a loophole!!! My insurance states this:

"Service Limitations and Exclusions
No benefits are provided for:


Infertility services that are needed as a result of a prior sterilization or unsuccessful sterilization reversal procedure. (However, benefits are provided for medically necessary infertility treatment that is needed after a sterilization reversal procedure that is successful as determined by appropriate diagnostic tests.) "

I don't want to get my hopes up but that sentence in parenthesis is getting me excited. I guess it would mean that if it's due to post tubal ligation syndrome then they'd cover it. I do have just about every one of the symptoms since having it done, including migraines, hot flashes (seriously thought I was going through menapause at a very early age though the fsh test says otherwise), intense pms, heavy heavy bleeding, etc. etc. Oh well nothing to lose and everything to gain if it goes through! Still have to pay out of pocket though but that's ok since I had it tucked away.

My kids bailed on me last night and slept over friends' houses and now they're off again. Gone are the days they're attached to my hip I guess.

Sara - your daughter is getting more precious by the day - I can't believe that she is already over 4 months - time is flying...

Jackie, if worse comes to worse, I have a house in MO that could use an occupant...if u just wanna get the heck away from everything and start over, my door/floor is always open. and hey, we have a mattress in the living room so u'd have a comfy place to sleep. cmmon over girl!

I work on draw/commission and I really don't cost them that much money. So, I have some security that I am cheap, don't cause too much trouble, and I'm fun to have around. I handle several large construction accounts (but they are slow with today's housing market in decline). The retail end of this business is slow due to the economy. I have been doing this for 14 years and never felt this threatned.

On top of this worry, I am having a personal issue and trying to get thru it.
