VJ team members,
Have a few questions about I-134 for K1 visa. Fiancee's interview is scheduled next week. I don't think I can get the tax transcripts from IRS before next week. But I have a copy of the 1040 form, from the past 3 years. I also have the copy of W2 from past 3 year.

1) Would it be a problem if I don't have tax transcript from IRS, but instead present a photo copy of the 1040 form?

2) In question # 11 in I-134 it asks "If I intend to support the person (fiancee) indicate the nature and duration of contributions". WHAT SHOULD I FILL OUT FOR K1 VISA FOR QUESTION #11 IN THE I-134 FORM?

3) Where can I find a sample "Intent to Marry" letter? Is there a link I can print from, and change my fiancee's name?

Thanks
Steve

For your 1st question, I'm not 100% sure so I'll leave that to someone with more expertise. For your 2nd and 3rd questions, click on Example Forms at the top of the page and you'll find a sample I-134 (with wording for question 11) and a sample letter of intent.

Thank You Story Angel. Can someone please tell me if I am in trouble, if I don't have the tax transcripts for the interview? I have copies of the 1040 tax form that I filed in 2006 and 2005. Would they accept it? I make much more than the 125% poverty line.

Please advise. Thanks.

For my interview, they are asking for the 1040 & W2 for the previous year (2006) only. Although I can't say if this varies by embassy, but those documents states what they need to know...

For question 11 on the I-134 I checked yes and put ALL LIVING EXPENSES. I can't remember if after that I put in parenthesis (K1 VISA) but should not matter either way.

Relax. I have never used IRS transcripts, I file my taxes electronically and just print copies - and have not had any thing questioned (since I file electronically my copies have no signatures either and it still doesn't matter). Good Luck
