Full Version: My case is at CSC!
VisaJourney.com > General Family Based Immigration Topics > Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion

JayJay
Well, so here I am, a new applicant for removal of conditions. Check showed up as cashed on Monday and I gues it's t CSC, though no receipt yet.

It's going to be an interesting one though, because I had to apply for a waiver of joint filing requirement, since I'm no longer married to my ex, and left him because of abuse etc. So, I guess we'll see if they give me an interview or not. I mean, I'm English, so that counts for me as far as immigration fraud is concerned, but then I am filing alone. We shall see.

Either way, I'm not stressing out about it - I enclosed a LOT of evidence for the cohabitation and also the abuse, and they accepted my check. I actualy sent it to NSC, because that's where the form instructions told me to send it, but they posted it on to CSC and now I have a WAC number (unfortunately the case number is not showing up on the system yet - but then again it was handwritten on a check I saw at the bank website so I might have misread!)

How are y'all doing?
NigerLA
All the best with your application process and I hope they give you the approval.
JayJay
I do too - it'd be awesome not to have to go to the cities twice - I am a good girly and I'm pregnant and would definitely appreciate the opportunity not to have to journey all that way with morning/evening/night sickness biggrin.gif
Kathryn41
Good luck, Jay Jay. I have thought often about how you were doing so it is good to hear that you have applied now for your I-751. Congratulations on the pregnancy too.
KarenCee
HUGS!!!!! Congratulations on the pregnancy...sounds like life is finally settling some for you. Hope the tummy settles soon too. wink.gif We're not at the filing stage yet, but will be next Feb. From what I've been reading on this forum, we're not looking forward to it either. I really hope things go well for you JayJay, after all you've been through you deserve to have this part behind you. Let's keep our fingers crossed that this transfer to CSC means you'll get approved soon. good.gif
JayJay
Oh man, I hope so. I'm just patiently waiting for the receipt now smile.gif I'm not stressed over it though - I think I've done everything right and I'm certainly not here for economic purposes (guffaw...) so I'm sure everything will be just peachy. tongue.gif

Good to see you again JayJay.

Most of the I-751s transferred to CSC have been approved without interview. Hopefully yours will go the same way!

Good luck and god speed JJ, Cristina was nauseous through most of her pregnancy but then the Doc told her that Prilosec was kosher for pregnancy and everything was great after that and look at all that girls hair no wonder she had heartburn devil.gif but she turned out to be a beauty! Cristina and I just want to know who her parents are because they did such good work laughing.gif

How are you doing, sweetie?

I can't believe I missed everything that happened with Ben last year. I tried
YM'ing you a number of times but I think that account is dead ("onel...")

Ben is such an idiot for letting you go, I can't believe he did what he did. wacko.gif

I'm really happy you found someone special.

Let's keep in touch, k? (You still owe me a cup of coffee next time you're in NY - haha wink.gif

I wish you the best of luck in the RC and the baby Jay dear, but this part of your post was a bit off tone.
Peace, L.

It means that statistically, England isn't a high-fraud country. That's not to say that English
people never commit immigration fraud (I'm sure some do), just that they do it less than
other (especially third-world) nationalities.

Yes! LOL - just kidding. tongue.gif

I don't think Germany has a higher fraud rate than the UK - I'd say all Western European countries are about the same.

One could equally say "I'm German/Swiss/Norwegian/etc, so that counts for me as far as immigration fraud is concerned"

Remember, never pooh pooh in your own backyard (but chill out anyway buddy) she's talking about the fraud piece... wink.gif
JayJay
Aww Christ people - I'm not being 'holier than thou' at all - it's just what other members have said: some countries are investigated more than others because of their higher fraud rate, that's all. It IS an advantage coming from England, specifically because of this - USCIS investigate some countries more frequently than others, just because of the economic differences between the countries and America. Basically all that means is that I would be a lot less likely to emigrate here purely for economic reasons, because Britain's economy (just one country of a collection) is in better shape than America's. That's not putting America down, it's just true. So it wouldn't make any sense for me to come here to, say, earn more money.

No offense intended - it's just I'm going into this with that aforementioned knowledge and that means I feel a lot calmer than I might otherwise. No-one's any 'better' than anyone else, for goodness sakes (I've traveled the world, and met many wonderful people in many wonderful countries) - it's just USCIS have certain fraud categories they assign people depending on various factors, and coming from an economically more stable country does count for one in a case like this. smile.gif

Hope that clarifies things, and no-one thinks I'm being all pooey now...
JayJay
Got the I-797C today smile.gif

Unfortunately, it's not true at all.

Britain's economy is doing just as badly, if not worse.

Inflation has reached the highest level on record. The UK is running a current account
deficit at 6% of GDP. (To compare with previous years, it was 3.9% in 2006 and 2.5% in 2005.)

GDP growth is also projected to be lower than previously expected: 1¾-2¼% in 2008, rising
to 2¼-2¾% in 2009 and to 2½-3% in 2010.

UK households have overall indebtedness at 97% of GDP and 108% of total disposable incomes.

It's really not good.

Good to know. Hope they issue the permanent green card very soon.
JayJay
Okay Okay - correction then: when I left the UK in 2005, the economy was doing better than America's biggrin.gif Now that's true, adn I haven't been back there since, so technically economics don't come into my situation. Plus let's be honest, when you walk on a job in England, you get 4 weeks paid vacation instantly (no matter if it's McDonalds or not) and a substantially higher wage. True, cost of living is higher, but I really can't remember a single week I didn't have excess spending money over there - but over here, it seems like a constant struggle to live.

No nastiness intended, just comparison smile.gif There are advantages to living here (for me) as well - nice wide open spaces to paint and draw; lovely people and of course, my newfound lovely situation, so in the end it's all good.
JayJay
Well holy jeepers creepers - I just got in for lunch and I have a biometrics appointment notice here for...wait for it...NEXT WEEK!

Holy cow. That was rather severely quick! biggrin.gif

Yeah - biometric appointments are usually quick - it's what happens afterwards that takes forever smile.gif

Congratulations!

Hi Jay Jay,

This link is related to one of the comments you had about not seeing your case status online ------> Reason for Delay
JayJay
Actually, when I got my biometrics notice, my receipt number had spontaneously changed! How odd... Never mind - when I put the new receipt number into the system, it popped up straight away. Has his happened to anyone else?
