hi there fellow Vj's...

I'm just wondering if a tattoo can be a possible reason for you to have a
fail med results? I am planning to have a very little tattoo of our names, but
I wouldn't have it if that would be one of the reasons that might affect my future medical
examinations.

does anyone have any when they had your med exam and yet it didn't hurt the results?

thanks for your future replies.

As far as i can remember, having a tattoo will be asked during the actual physical examination by the doctor...piercings as well but never have i encountered a denial because of having one...

You should be fine. Of course, if your tattoo says, "Die Americans! Die!", and they see it, you may have troubles at the interview! whistling.gif laughing.gif

My wife has two tattoos and one is very visible on her thigh. She passed her medical with no problems, so I would not worry about it. I might consider waiting till after the medical to get it, but if you can't wait, its not a reason for denial.

I really don't think it would affect the process... I don't remember the doctor asking about having a tat or piercing either, or I would remember saying "yes" (I have a belly button piercing).
I passed the exams with no harm, you should be alright as well wink.gif
