Looking into the tax return issue... Our embassy paperwork said that if we do not have all our w2's and copies of our tax returns for the last 3 years that we need to request a printout from the IRS, and that it must come with an official stamp from the IRS office. Does anybody know if this comes standard on these printouts, or if it is something we have to specially request? i called and requested my last 3 years today on the irs automated phone message. Thanks for your help!

As far as I know, the IRS transcripts you ordered should be acceptable. They do not, however, have the IRS "stamp" you mentioned.

The London Embassy had told me to use the IRS transcripts. My transcripts do not have an IRS stamp on them either, but they are on IRS letterhead.
Hope that helps!

I believe they do not need the stamp
